The second iteration of 2v8 is now LIVE - find out more information here: https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/kb/articles/480-2v8-developer-update

They should change the name Hex: Ruin to Hex: Ruined

Because that's what this perk is. Ruined to oblivion. Why leave a perk like this when it's a Hex? Hex totems are supposed to be strong, so this perk shouldn't be a Hex.

Yeah i kinda wonder how good itd be as not a hex. Probably very strong on killers with heavy map mobility (who don't really need it) vs m1 killers where itd to close to nothing.

Ruin is still a decent perk, but i would not hate it, if they slightly buff it.

Hexes are indeed supposed to be strong, but they have too many factors holding them back. Unfortunately, they've never really been THAT good outside of like Plaything + Pentimento, or original Undying + 200% Ruin, or Undying + Devour Hope. NOED snitches on itself now so that's no good.

If it weren't for the fact we're getting a new (though mostly-useless) hex with Chucky, I'd have said hexes are a dead and forgotten perk archetype like boons.

Also you have the fact ruins a hex perk (which are made to be strong but cleansable) but yet it turns itself off after a survivor dies permaently. Which makes no sense for a hex perk to do with how their designed.

Only time you get value from ruin is if survivors are worse than bots and at that point even bloodhound is usefull.

It was changed to mix up the meta. Not because it was way too strong.

I think most can agree on that.

I think many people dont understand this. And it is so clear that Ruin got the Double-Nerf so that it becomes not worth picking anymore. Disabling it when a Survivor is dead would have been enough of a Nerf and the Perk would still be good, but less oppressive in a 3v1 (and the Killer most likely would not need Ruin anymore at this point, let alone that it is a rare occasion that one Survivor dies before Ruin gets cleansed).

IMO Ruin could have not been changed as well in 6.1.0... The main problem was Tinkerer anyway and this got nerfed.

They definitely went way too overboard on the nerf. I think they could probably safely make it to where it's not a hex anymore and only deactivates when a survivor is dead or bring up the regression to 120% or something.

There was no reason to nerf Ruin from 200% to 100% regression, that change made no sense.
