TikTok won’t do anything if you report hackers streaming
BHVR says to report people you see streaming themselves hacking to the platform they’re on ie twitch or TikTok because we can’t report people we didn’t play with.
I reported 4 different peoples lives who were streaming themselves clearly hacking. Flying, teleporting, using proximity cheats etc. under the category of “cheating in a game” and all 4 reports came back saying “no violation.”
Until BHVR decides to dump EAC for something that actually works, looks like cheaters are gonna grow and thrive in this game. 🤷🏼♀️

Number is now up to 6 hackers I’ve reported their TikTok lives streaming cheating and TikTok just replies instantly with “no violation”
Im curious what the devs who have told us to report these people on that platform suggest we do now?

I mean, even if TikTok did anything, those people would still be able to cheat in-game. It would just affect their account on TikTok?
BHVR is probably unable to do anything as they do not have access to the cheaters account whatsoever - the in-game name is not unique after all and the cheaters will be not so dumb to actually show their BHVR id..

We suggest this because unfortunately we cannot control anything that happens outside of Dead by Daylight; I empathize that it is frustrating. It's appreciated that you are taking the time to report these streams to the respective platforms.

That’s understandable that you can’t control other platforms. So now why question is, has BHVR considered finding a different company besides Easy Access Cheats? Because that seems to be where this problem starts, EAC not being able to actually do the job of stopping widespread cheating. All the reporting and banning is just treating the symptom and not the cause.

We might as well crackdown family houses and give parental advice.

I’m not sure how you got this from anything I said but let me try again. BHVR mods themselves have told people on here snd steam that if we see people streaming themselves cheating to report it to the platform that they’re cheating on. I did that on TikTok who actually has a report option that says “reporting cheating in a video game.” Every time I’ve reported it they replied with “no violation.”
This mod replied that they can’t do anything more outside of the actual game which is why I asked about getting a better anti cheat system than EAC which is known to be garbage, which is why it got the nickname “Easy Access Cheats”. Because that’s obviously the root cause of the issue that their anti-cheat software WHICH ITS ENTIRE PURPOSE IS MEANT TO PREVENT PEOPLE FROM BEING ABLE TO CHEAT IN GAME doesn’t work.
Lastly I literally said “Its understandable that you can’t control other platforms” ie it would be ridiculous to think they could control what other platforms do and don’t do.
So please explain to me how you read that and decided that making a snarky comment suggesting that I in any way, was suggesting that they SHOULD try to control other platforms, was the appropriate response? I’ll wait.

This is true but getting their TikTok account banned for streaming cheating means they can’t stream themselves cheating and get money/donations anymore. You have to have 1K followers to stream on TikTok so losing that account and having to start over would definitely be a hindrance to them.

I love when MandyTalk described it as a circle. It's important to remember that cheating is an ongoing battle in any online game, and Dead by Daylight is no exception: There is a never-ending arms race between game developers and cheat makers to find and fix new vulnerabilities.

I agree, and TikTok should definitely do this. Though this is out of BHVRs hands and you won’t reach anyone from TikTok here..

This is very true. People will always find ways to cheat in any game but I do think having a system/software that actually works most of the time is still helpful and EAC just doesn’t seem to be doing anything. Just my opinion.
