PS5 - Hawkins unrepairable Generator pistons panel

On Hawkins Laboratory I encountered this gen spawn near the gates that allowed me to repair from the wires panels on either end, but wouldn't let me repair from the pistons panel.
I think this was the gate where to the right of the screenshot was the direction towards the Upside Down portal... but I'm not sure (apologies for not getting a better screenshot).
Steps
- Load into Hawkins until this Generator spawns.
- Attempt to repair from the wires side panels. -> Success
- Attempt to repair from the pistons front panels. -> No prompt.
Notes
This was against the Xenomorph, in case tunnel spawns might be having an effect.
