Did they make scratch marks harder to see in a recent patch?
Recently I've found it much harder to see scratch marks on the ground and i've lost a few people because of this. Literally I can't see scratch marks further than 5m away unless they are on a wall and I checked in end game and the people I was chasing didn't have dance with me or lightweight

They did. Remember that patch they did that made scratch marks more easier to see with screenshots in the patch notes?
The scratch marks are barely visible now

It's not that they are harder to see, they just made them more sporadic and I think they are not working properly, when survivors turning left or right.
It's like they made Lightweight basekit.

This has actually been brought up a couple of times in the past few months. I have also lost survivors more often at turns recently.

To be honest, I don't remember that one. If you find it again, or if you have a general idea of when this happened, could you point me to it?
But I agree. Scratch marks are pretty hard to see at the moment. That's definitely not a good thing, considering it's the main tracking tool for a killer.

We haven't made any changes to scratch marks in a while. If you notice a difference, please be sure to fill out a bug report and we'll see what we can do.
This doesn't ring a bell to me. Is it possible you're thinking of the colorblind options that were added a while back? We showed screenshots of scratch marks with those options on so people could see the difference, but the scratch marks themselves were not changed. It would be exactly the same before & after if you don't toggle colorblind mode on.

Obviously the scratch marks are less visible and more scattered. Don't lie to players because they don't know what the adjustments are. If the development team isn't prepared for this change, it's more proof that you're not playing this game.

This thread is 6 months old. Their comment has nothing to do with the current state of the game.
