Actually enjoying using MFT in builds?
So since the nerf, MFT has been in a sharp decline of usage, but I've actually been enjoying experimenting with using it recently. My best build thus far is: -
- Made For This
- We're Gonna Live Forever
- Botany Knowledge
- Balanced Landing (or your choice of Exhaustion perk).
It's like a none scummy version of FTP and Buckle Up. Between Botany and WGLF, a slug is healed within 6.4 seconds from full, and a standing heal is 10.67, both of which give you endurance if you complete the heal while injured.
Even if you get interrupted from the heal by taking a hit, you can usually finish it off and get your endurance. Because it's not got the obvious health exchange of FTP, fewer Killers expect it and on top you get the 3% speed from MFT if you tank a hit.
Sure it's not quite as strong as FTP+Buckle Up, and requires more perks, but it does have some niche scenarios that it performs better, and I generally have found it much more fun to use.
Do you have any fun builds that have made use of MFT?

Isn't the combination with DH/OTR discussed a lot even before the PTB is out?

I did try that too!
I found that build though kinda had this awkward problem where it baits you. I caught myself hunting for the killer to try to hit OTR so I could get MFT, even when it wasnt really beneficial to do so... It worked, but if the killer isn't tunneling, you're kinda throwing a bit by trying to make them tunnel instead of cranking gens.
DS I found didn't work, as even with OTR, you needed to still get downed within a minute in order to make use of DS.... so your benefits of MFT are kinda wasted by the fact you need to get caught deliberately in time for DS to be any use...
Was fun to try though 😁

Oh that build actually sounds really fun! Thanks for suggestion, I'll definitely try it out :)
I've only used Dead Hard with MFT a few times since the MFT nerf, it felt nice.
