In actual skill I'm a rank 16 survivor and a rank 10 killer.
Yet SWF allows a team of two red ranks and two green to get matched against me. It doesn't matter on my actual skill, because discord literally allows all survivors in SWF to have every single aura perk, simple by talking to each other. And thusly can you use now free perk slots for annoying ######### like DS and Adrenaline.
And then on top of this, the end game gates, survivors just won't leave even when they've bent you over and had their way with you. They stand there Tbagging, and will wait a long ass time, just so the killer can see and know "these survivors are so good, and you suck"
The Rank system is so easy to cheat that it's meaningless. The only real reason people can go up in ranks is because it so damn easy to safety pip and regular pip. Play enough games, and BAM max rank.
This ranked mode, which is the ONLY MODE IN THE GAME. Constantly ingrains the competitive mindset into the playerbase. So as time goes on, and progression is directly connected to how well you do in a match, the toxicity only increases.
Then there's Legion, who negates any skill for both sides, and yet is under powered and overpowered at the same time, and complete garbage. Deep Wound is not threatening at all, and multi hitting multiple survivors just means the first ones you hit already recovered from deep wound. But when you're tunneled against legion, all they have to do is look away, and keep close, and they can force you to fall over. There is no escape.
Why the hell can 3 gens be done within 2 minutes? Since the end of match is get to gate, open gate, when you get gen rushed, it's insanely difficult to stop anyone.
I enjoyed DBD. But there's this constant underlying tone of pain and suffering from all the stupid ######### other players do and say to each other.
DCing should force a player to have a longer wait time between matches, so they actually have a reason not to DC. Not this arbitrarily "you have to have a record of 33% DC rate before devs do anything".
I have uninstalled the game, because I know the devs don't care about fixing SWF or the toxicity. They'd rather churn out a 8 dollar dlc every 3 months, so their gravy train never stops rolling.
Dedicated servers will not fix these problems, because lag is not the problem with DBD. It's the people, and the competitive mindset that are the problem.
So I'm done with this game. I can't handle every match ending with someone teabagging, and then calling me a N-word in post game chat.
I just hope, one day, that this can change. That there will be something meaningful to gain by being a part of this community. but for now, there is only darkness.

You got the gens wrong.
Survivors can do all 5 gens in 3 minutes or less.

Actually 3 gens can be done in 80 seconds while you chase the 4th survivor (assuming no toolboxes and only good skillchecks)

PS: Within the first 5 replies to this, someone will call me salty. Someone will insult me. And someone will think I'm a thin skinned baby. Because all this community knows is garbage and filth. There's no ounce of humanity to be seen, and the few glimpses that shine through, are quickly dragged through the mud.

Just played a few rounds to farm BP for my tryhard invisible claudette.
I was beaten to death as a poor strategic hag killer which put down all her traps, just to see 3 gens pop with ruin and after a few seconds, a destroyed ruin.
I've made 2 hooks mid game, but adrenaline and DS gave me the rest.I got like 20k with 2 Party Streamers and Double BP.
All of my traps were also destroyed within 20 seconds, because they knew the locations, had flashlights and just popped them, because I was unavailabe to teleport (picking up a survivor at the time).
My NOED didn't matter either, they did the totem in a few seconds.They effectively used 2-3 pallets the whole game and I've made 3 hooks and 1 kill, but only because I began camping the last one.

I get the problem of the OP, but it's not the match making which is the problem.
It's part of it, but not the main problem, the main problem is the bad balance in the game.
On both sides.If you know the map, you know the game mechanics, a 4 man team, no SWF or SWF will always be better as a team of level 1 dwights with no map knowledge and AS every killer which are not a teleporting beast.
The game is basically inbalance vs. inbalance.
While the killers differ from strength, mobility a lot which is the biggest killer problem, the survivors can just be devastating and qucik in terms of ending the game.
Also luck has a too big impact to the game, wrong gen placements and the killer can abuse the ######### out of it.
While a better placement hurts the killer too much.The map layout can be 100 pallets near by or nearly no pallets near by at all.
It's all a big game of RNG, toxicity and getting the killer or in rare cases, the survivor to rage disconnect.
It's hard for both sides to have fun if one has to loose, not because some people can't loose, but because the rounds are not fair and balanced for both teams equally and there are situations, players can't do anything (like camping, tunneling, gen rushing, t-bagging at the exit gates, pallet towns etc.)
These problems will always be there, dedicated servers will just make the killer gameplay worse, because the devs have shown, they don't know how to properly fix game breaking bugs and/or broken game mechanics.
So I guess killers will have delays when swinging or using their ability, because the game does only have PREDICTED environment for the survivors/also killer movement, nothing else.

Makes me wish I had unlimited ebony moris at the rate I run into SWFs these days.
Most of them have someone a color rank higher than me, or two. As in several rank colors higher, and/or multiples of them.
They definitely like to abuse voice chat, too.

I think we can all agree that match making is a mess as is the ranking system. That doesn't seem to be this users problem. He also mentioned how "easy" it is to safety pip and pip to rank up so why has he not? Know what loops are safe and not safe, what pallets, what killer perks and addons work together, changing up your play style when playing against swf, map layout etc all comes with experience.
SWF either will die to save one another from a hook or finish all the generators while a teammate is on the hook and being camped. Pick your poison as killer. If i don't camp but look in the surrounding area i can always find 1 or 2 survivors lurking in wait for the save. It isn't that hard to play Killer or Survivor.

Thats what I fear too, especially with 360s being a thing..... huntress will probably die when dedicated servers are rdy
