Survivor adepts would be easier if people did gens

You can accomplish this in a few games if you have a party, or in one game at the fastest, so invite a friend.

They're already extremely easy compared to killer, which are still pretty easy now. You just need to escape once.

I swear to God Killers hate certain survivors more than others.
My games get significantly harder when I'm playing Ace or Haddie, I'm sure of it... their Adepts were brutal... 🤕

Killer is easier right now. You need to do 4K , it's very easy to do.

With certain 3 perks. Considering that perks affect killer more than to the survivors, and there are many cases that there own perks do not fit the killer well, I think Survivor adepts are more easier. In my experience, survivor adepts were a lot easier than killer's.
4 -
Not for me.
Killer is easier. It takes me first or second try to get killer adepts. Survivor adept can take longer since it depends on your teammates. And killer just can tunnel you out.
4 -
Depends...
Hatch exists and good teams do as well.
4 -
Agree to disagree.
Killer adept is harder.
"just tunnel someone out" is not the win-button you seem to think it is.
9 -
Yeah, i just slug whenever i need adept. I don't like this but this is the only way to secure 4 kills when you need it.
And for your other message, i said " to me ". I am good killer and i am winning quiet often as killer. But as survivor, terrible matches after terrible matches. So it's hard to believe whenever someone says survivor is easier, it's not. Not for me.
2 -
For me, it depends.
It depends, whoever wants to win more.
If you want to win as Killer, you pick Nurse with good addons. Or to have it even easier: c33 Blight.
If you want to win as survivor, you get 3 really good friends or players in general, slap on 4 good perks, a med kit witha syringe or something similar and a nice map offering for garden of joy.
0 -
You don't need Nurse to win. You don't need Blight with busted add-ons to win either.
I am really questioning myself sometimes if i am playing same game as others. Because i am winning games as even weak killers like Nemmy and Clown. Sure, time to time i am facing with very challange teams but most of times teams are just not that good. And it ends with so much wins.
Any killer who has good chase + anti-gen perks can win most of matches.

Both take "more than a single game" which in dbd terms means both are practically impossible and not worth attempting.

You aren’t crazy hon. I win with ‘weak’ killers too (Dredge, HUX). If you tunnel one survivor out at the start you’ve pretty much won the round.
1 -
They're already far easier than killer adepts to be fair :p
1 -
Killer adepts were far easier when Merciless Killer didn't require you to kill all four survivors.
I got my Adept Huntress on Fractured Cowshed even though the last survivor actually found the hatch and escaped.

I have finished every adepts with Survivor and Killer. Everyone who is telling me that Killer adepts are easier than Survivor, don't played many adepts or only want to troll.
It's true that it can be finished sometimes in only one or second try but this is random and hatch luck. You need to patrol the gens tunneling only isn't working in the most cases.

Fair

I rage quit one single time in my 3.600h in dbd.
The 16th attempt of getting Bubbas adept.
I had to literally shut down my pc and go for a walk. It was this bad.
Im normally an extremely calm and collected person. At least this is what most people that know me say.

Games in general would be easier if team mates did gens.

Bubbas adept took me like 20 tries in the old system lol

I only know the new Bubba. The most annoying was twins for me. After that I wasn't really farming for it, but equipped 3 perks always when I did the dailys.
0 -
You had to get merciless with only his perks. But merciless meant having a perfect game with grades. Bubba is a killer that gets no points for his power and has no map pressure or mobility. On top of that I used no addons. His perks are awful in him with the exception of BBQ.
You play with one info perk against good survivors and are supposed to get a minimum of 10 hooks while using your power to the absolut max.
It was a nightmare. The hardest challenge I ever did in dbd.
It was awful

I don't know what matches the rest of you play, but for me it has been quite common to escape without even seeing the killer, not to mention that there's always the hatch option. The survivor adept has always been easy, all of them are played the same way and their perks are usually quite irrelevant to achieve this goal.

I'm doing an adept experiment (survivor) after I transitioned my acc from Epic to Steam. Will post the results in a separate thread.

Oh honey; you aren’t weak but you aren’t strong.

Either you didn't try for many adepts with the old system or you don't know how the new system works. The new system makes the adept achievements pretty much trivial and you don't really have to put much thought into anything. With the old system, there were so many ways you could fail.

With the old system I did: Trapper, Wraith, Hillbilly, Myers, Hag, Doctor, Huntress, Leatherface, Freddy, Pig, Clown, Spirit, Legion, Plague, Ghostface, Demogorgon, Oni, Deathslinger, Pyramid Head, Blight, Twins and Onryo.
With the new system I only did Adept Dredge.
But now that you made think about it, I realize I only said that because I am still a little salty from second attempt for Adept Dredge. Because let me tell ya, maximizing those emblems but not getting the achievement because the last guy managed to find the hatch was absolutely infuriating.
0 -
Yeah, I don't think you understood the change they made. There's no more maximizing emblems. You get the 4k, that's it. Done.
Unless I misunderstood you and the maximizing emblems wasn't related to Dredge.
0 -
Nah, I get it.
My second attempt with Dredge was a perfect game, except the last guy managed to find the hatch. The old system would have given me the achievement right there and then, the new one didn't.
And that was frustrating, not gonna lie.
But I think both have their pros and cons, to be honest. I think that one game with Dredge was worth the achievement, but just getting a 4k can be easier than maximizing the emblems (unless they get a lucky hatch).

I think you're both right tbh.
The requirements for Killer Adept is tougher. Your perks mean more in general, and if they don't synergise with or shore up the weaknesses of your power, or are generally weak, then tough beans. You're gameplay from 1 killer to the next doesn't necessarily translate either. Chances are there is a power that won't click with you somewhere in the roster, and you'll struggle.
You have to play hardball and get efficient downs, track your hooks, and making sure you slug for the 4k, don't give anyone a chance to breathe and break your snowball. There is noone who can carry you as a killer, you have to win yourself and make sure no one sneaks hatch. If they have someone who is cracked on their team, that one player can be a real thorn in your adept attempts. Someone playing as a rat can really screw you over too. I hate tunneling, I refuse to do it even if I'm losing, and even doing an adept or 4k challenge I don't do it unless someone literally dances in front of me on death hook... but after 4 hatch escapes in a row (Singularity was annoying AF) even the fairest of us get tempted... However the 1 advantage of Killer is your MMR is tied to your killer... if you're new to a killer, you won't be going in the same realms of player skill as your main Killer, so it's usually not too bad as long as you haven't been playing that character for ages, and only now started trying to Adept.
On Survivor you only have to escape. Doesn't matter how you do it, you can escape via Hatch, Gate, 4 man or 1 man escapes, keys, can play as a rat, can gen rush, can even sandbag your teammate if need to for hatch, whatever, you will eventually get out once. The problem is... your MMR for Survivor doesn't change from survivor to survivor... so whether you've played that character or not before, you're going at your normal MMR, so it's more of a handicap...
In my experience as a new player this tends balance out. I started a principle of whenever I started a new killer or survivor I immediately did their Adept. Eventually I'd get a team/killer that didn't know what they were doing and get my 4k/escape... but doing these things as a low level player has to be much easier 😅

Getting killer adepts is definitely harder because killers are much more perk dependent. It's a little less so if the killer just dropped and your MMR for them is relatively low. If you are trying to get an adept for a well used killer that you might have a high MMR with, it can be pretty irritating.
Of course up until recently getting killer adepts was miles harder because getting a merciless rating wasn't as simple as a 4K, but the result of arcane mathematics that often made no sense.

Adept Bubba was the first and only time where I rage quit dbd.
Who can blame me.

Tbh the whole game would be better if folks did generators on my team.
Sometimes I feel bad running around Hawkins unable to find them, I'm still not used to that map.

I can feel the PTSD. Glad I tried them after they changed Merciless to just be a 4k xD

I remember watching OhTofu trying to get Bubba's adept (he was doing a killer adept series) and nearly losing his mind.
I haven't tried most. I just don't care that much. I'll give it a shot when a killer first comes out, but for all the established killers I have at nearly 4K hours? Life's too short to deal with that mess.

It was a relief when i finally got it.
Just took around 20 tries.
The new system helps killer like Bubba or Billy a lot when it comes to adepts.
