Post Game Messages
When you are sacrificed and end the game sooner than others, if you leave a message in the chat like "GG" or "Thx for your help" or whatever, do the other teammates see your message sitting there in chat long after you have already left for another game once they enter the end-game chat lobby?

As far as we are aware no. They start seeing things typed in chat from the moment they enter the end game screen, not before.

So you are not sure, in other words. I am looking more of a definite answer :)

Welp if you want us to be specific: we are sure that in the time we've spent playing this game the players only see messages typed during the time they entered the score screen and nothing before then. If the messages are still in the log and are hidden we don't know.

Yeah i think this is correct from my experience too

Messages aren't there unless someone was present when they were posted.
Unrelated but you've reminded me how I wish it was possible to spectate and use chat with other survivors while watching the rest of the match play out. I get it would be a PC only thing but that would be such a huge improvement.

This would be awesome, yes. There really is no good reason to stick around and spectate the rest of the game. If people could chat while spectating others, it would give much more reason to engange in dialogue and in friendly kind I believe.

No, my friend and I tested this. He got sacrificed before me, typed a bunch of stuff and after I escaped I saw none of it.

Confirming what others say. Once you have access to post lobby chat, only then do you get messages from that point moving forward.

Definitely doesn't work. I've tested it myself. I've left a message after getting sacrificed, spectated for the rest of the game only to return to the post game lobby to see that all my messages had disappeared.

Thank you, I deem this thread answered.

Definite answer: They only see chat pop up the moment they enter the chat. Chat logs won't be 'saved' for others to read at a later stage. Even them going to spectator mode and back will make them miss messages.
