Flashlight rarity scaling

The yellow flashlight lasts 8 seconds, and has no default benefits. The green flashlight also lasts 8 seconds and comes with 2 benefits; increase accuracy by 20% and decrease battery consumption rate by 11%. The purple flashlight lasts 12 seconds, it increases brightness by 30%, increases blindness duration by 15%, and as a negative it decreases accuracy by 20%.


I think that the yellow flashlight and the purple flashlight are fine because it is clearly understood why the purple one is better than they yellow one or the green, as the battery life is longer and it comes with 2 benefits. The scaling between the yellow and the green makes less sense I think. The increased accuracy of the green flashlight makes sense, but I think the reduced consumption rate of the green could be simplified, also it isn't very good.


I am not sure exactly how the consumption rate of items is calculated, but I do know that 11% of 8 is about less than 1 so the effect is pretty negligible as it only gives about less than a second of extra use. I think that if you removed the default reduced consumption rate effect of the green addon and instead made the flashlight last 10 seconds that would make the item scaling much easier to see and understand.

    It's like the medkit situation, I only use them to heal myself because the percentages for healing teammates with it are so bad. Purple medkit in a chest? Awesome, time to use it on myself and experience the exact same effect that I would have had with a common medkit.
