Can you hide your name mid match?
with "hide your name" or that anon mode

Hiding your name doesn't even really hide your name, I Hid my name cause I didn't like it but went to check a streamers.. well stream and it showed my name so maybe I'm dumb but it only hides it from YOUR screen.

The one that changes your name to "you" is client-side and doesn't hide your name from others, maybe you activated that? Anonymous mode doesn't show anything different on your end but everyone else will see you as "Claudette Morel 09" or something like that based on your character instead of your real name.
The former is meant to hide your name/others names in case you want to record your gameplay but not give away your account name but I can see why "hide name" is confusing.

I've unhidden my name once to test it, so.. maybe?? my research assistants were not quite as attentive as I was when experimenting with it.
