The perk has to show number of stack, means how many teammate are on Gen at least. Let us know how much the perk being used in chase.

It may work in early game, but later killers tend to patrols remaining Gens, its when the perk should be used well.

They're so stubborn. It's like they're trying so hard not to get it even though so many people on here explained the real reason why the perk is useless and number adjustments won't matter. But I'm not surprised.

Quick Gambit is quite possibly one of the worst designed survivor perks in the sense that it's absolutely useless. No killer is going to let a survivor run them around a generator where there's only 1 pallet and the person doing the generator gets chased off.

It has nearly zero redeeming qualities, only one barely redeeming quality in particular where it's a complete joke and a meme of a perk that you gotta respect the Gambiter gamers.

It needs a full rework from the ground up because it is such god awful design.

    No. It's not appealing.

I feel like if they indicated how many survivors are in the area at any given moment, the perception of this perk would be alot better. It actually seems pretty good with this distance, but too many ppl think 36 meters is right next to the worked on gen rather than within half a map length.

Just use Quick Gambit + Bond. Both now synergize better has they both are 36m. So if ur in chase and u see ur teammates, you know they are getting the boost now.

No. Chasing around uncompleted Generators just creates Deadzones around those Generators. Which makes them harder to repair. The Speedboost does not change that.

It is a terrible designed Perk.

if I had a proper indicator of how far away I can be. maybe.

    but I don't.

    so no.

no. range limit is main issue with the perk. it has be near global to be worth it and with sizable gen increase. something like 52 meters with 8% would be worth it. 36 is still too small. Quick Gambit is better then previous version but not good enough to use it.

Now they are keep nerfing maps with big dead zones. So most likely there will be one pallet next to gen.

So for the best case, i will loop killer around this pallet while my teammate is doing gen. Killer ofcourse will ignore this gen and he will stay on me because he is poor baby killer. And then i will be forced drop this pallet because of Bloodlust. And then i will have to leave area because there is not another loop.

Now even for best case, how many time i really saved? 10 seconds maybe? Yeah, this perk is still garbage. And they still did not fix the core issue of this perk has.

Yeah I'll use it time to time. 36m is a lot bigger than people think.

I still maintain people are ignoring its potential as an anti-3-gen perk, and on a map like Midwich or the Game, the perk will be pretty damned strong.

And it's funny in swf. It's the only perk that can stack with itself when it comes to gen boost. So me and my duo can add bloodpact together and get chased together while others do gens.

    Very clever xD

    Sorry BHVR, I couldn't resist 😉

I'm not going to use it, but I can see ways it can come into play. If you are a survivor who is good at chase and take the first chase the perk is kind of powerful. The idea wouldn't be that you try and keep the killer near one gen, the idea is that as you and the killer are in chase you'll keep hitting the other survivors with 8% boosts.

A 36 m radius means you can impact 72 m of the map. If the survivors are spread out on gens it would actually be pretty hard not to have someone being affected, and it easily could be more than one. You wouldn't need to adjust your playstyle to really have it impact and the highlighted gens would tell you places not to run too close to.

It's not going to be game breaking or anything. I'm not a survivor who seeks out chase so it wouldn't be good for me, but pair it with a survivor trying to take chase it could be useful.

No. I play in solo queue where most people jump off gens as soon as they hear a terror radius. 36m is good as it's slightly outside the range of most terror radiuses (32m) but not enough that I feel my team mates will make good use out of it. They'll slink away when i get too close, which is understandable tbf if theyre injured and/or death hook. I'll make good use of it if I see a team mate has it but it's always a crapshoot when it comes to team mates.

The perk way better than before but still not worth running. You can't really increase the range anymore or it just be free gen boost. This is probably the best it can be while retaining the orginal idea.

  • Devil_hit11

that is not worth it. 3 people on gen is superior to 2 people on gens using the perk.

how is it free? your looping the killer. to save 7.66 seconds on a gen, you have to loop the killer for 90 seconds. that is really long time in dbd terms. Most chases don't even last that long.

  • solarjin1
    solarjin1 Member Posts: 2,229

i said it would be free if u increase the range. With let say a 48 meter range u could boost multiple gens people working on! "to save 7.66 seconds on a gen, you have to loop the killer for 90 seconds. that is really long time in dbd terms. Most chases don't even last that long"

I mean you going to get in a few chases at least and it would boost multiple gens at the same time if you increase the range enough. Put quick Gambit at 48M and i guarantee u the usage would skyrocket.

Just change it to "The closest generator being repaired gives anyone working on it an 8% gen repair speed while you're in chase"

There, I made it global and limited its effect to a single generator so you don't get 3 different gens going at an increased 8% speed.

who would guessed that getting use out of your perk makes it worth selecting in a load out.

We can agree to disagree i guess. With a large meter range it'll be too much value

It seem's this perk's function is being overlooked, this perk is rather useful in situations where the only resources are those around a generator being worked on by teammates, 36m is also literally larger than every killer's terror radius (except wesker), 110% killer's will suffer slightly more against this, survivors working on generators can easily abandon the generator normally if the killer drops chase and starts going towards the generator, the survivor running it also get's to see the generators as well so they can plan there chase around it. Playing chases right, you can support your team and hurt the killers pressure somewhat more by playing well.

Honestly Quick Gambit is just old Spine Chill 2.0, but the repair speed bonus is activated by the survivor and not the just ht ekiller looking in the survivors direction.

You being chased near a Gen for 30sec and down. 5sec to hook and 5sec to get to teammate Gen.

    • Without Gambit, teammate would complete 40sec of Gen.
    • With Gambit, teammate would complete 42.3sec of Gen.

You being chased opposite of the map for 30sec and down. 5sec to hook and 10sec to get to teammate Gen.

    • Without Gambit, teammate would complete 45sec of Gen. Without risk.

I dont know how Gambit is old Spine chill. It let survivors know killer is coming to their direction? Or it let survivors know killer abandon current chase? And the UI doesnt do that?

It needs some form of feedback to feel like it's useful. The bonus would be useful for other Survivors, but without any feedback you just don't know what it's actually achieving.

If they made the Perk light up when it's actually benefitting other Survivors, then it may be more worthwhile, because then you can hazard a guess which gen is being worked on and maybe even how to play out the chase to make sure it benefits others.

Until then it will just feel somewhat lost, with the only way of knowing is if you're near a gen being worked on and can see it, in which case so can the Killer.
