Why Are We Not Tweaking New Perks?

Illumination and Deadline are both ridiculously weak and redundant. It’s like another Technician/Visionary situation with Illumination. Stop designing DLC perks for new players in mind when you could be reworking general perks, like Premonition. Deadline would be good on niche builds if it wasn’t for the decision to add Doctor skillchecks.

Why did the PTB have Alan in it if we’re not gonna make changes for the better with him? Was Alan just there to get the sprinkles jar while everyone else got ice cream? Why did Sadako get glass flavored ice cream and Alan just watched? WHO INVITED ALAN TO THE COLD STONE CREAMERY IF ALL HE’S GETTING IS A “GOTTA HAVE IT” SIZED ICE CREAM CONE FILLED WITH SPRINKLES?

I think it's unfair to say the perks are ridiculously weak, they're just not quite as good as they could've been. Illumination is a great idea that just needed a slight boost to the information it gives, and Deadline could probably do without the injury requirement.

As an aside, designing DLC perks for new players would actually be a pretty good idea, if and when they do that. Big license DLCs, at least, bring in new players, and those new players are going to have only general perks and this DLC's perks to play with, since the DLC that brought them in is the one they're going to want to play. The best example of this would be Rookie Spirit on Leon, in my opinion.

Neither Deadline or Illumination are new-player perks, in my opinion, but the idea would be fine if they had decided to do it.

I think deadline would be an ok if it simply just increased your skillcheck chances with nothing else to it

Behavior only allows 10 good perks at a time for survivors. Variety between good perks isn‘t wanted.

Considering every match has 16 survivor perks vs 4 killer perks, they do have to be careful on making survivor perks too strong. Usually it's one good or decent perk mixed in with 2 niche or combo-suggested perks when a survivor drops.

Every solo survivor has to release with one stupid perk (that will be nerfed in a few months) and 2 bad perks, them's the rules.

Except Nick Cage, he doesn't play by the rules.

My round always: 3 times Windows of opportunity, everyone one exhausting perk, Hope/ Adrenalin or both and something else. Survivors only have 10 good perks.

Those perks aren‘t even strong against good players!

The problem is they don‘t make useful perks any more, they don‘t need to be super strong, BUT USEFUL!

I dunno. I'd say distortion is practically broken. I never run out of distortion tokens unless the killer is stacking aura reads AND lets you know exactly what aura perk the killer is or isn't using. One perk hard counters numerous killer perks. Then you have a decent amount of good choices for exhaustion (I prefer lithe). Then you have an abundance of gen rushing perks available. Last perk is a wildcard. Could be information, gen speed, evasion, second chances, chases - whatever you want.

What I usually see is resilience, lithe, Adrenaline, and Windows of Opportunity, but that's because at high mmr, people are typically wanting to run peak efficiency only.

Its always the same especially for survivors. You can give feedback like a science report and nothing will change. I dont even know when it was last time they made some serious buffs to new useless perks. Seeing the surv perks its mostly a pile of shame. You can likely ignore 2/3 of the roster. I probably havent seen several perks since they were introduced. And no we get a SURVIVOR ONLY Chapter, and the worst things are the survivor perks. Noone can excuse this.

Cold stone creamery is the GOAT

I agree Wake's perks aside from Champion of Light need buffing

the hinder perk will see lots of use no doubt, and skill check perk is actually not bad maybe it could use some progression bonus for greats but, yeah it's not a weak trash tier perk at all. i'm already planning to use it in my didact build and it is going to combo well with hyperfocus. the only thing i agree is doc skillchecks are unnecessary, would be better without them.

They probably expect Alan to sell based on the license alone. So they don't have to rely on perks to sell it. Alan Wake has a decent fan base.
