The second iteration of 2v8 is now LIVE - find out more information here: https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/kb/articles/480-2v8-developer-update

dbd has too high an entry threshold

I hope I don't have to explain why I think so - an incredible amount of perks, many different counters for many different killers, many weaknesses and tactics.

Many players get lost in this and give up the game.

I suggest that there are hints in the game. For example, when one of the survivors notices the killer, the game displays information about their power, e.g. Hag - by crouching near one of her traps, you can destroy it.

I agree. The current tutorials are woefully inadequate, for both roles really. Because of the amount of unique content & varying powers and add-ons of the different killers, there's just so much to take in for new players. The best option should no be go YouTube it.

Fully agree. The loading screen tips are not enough to prepare new players for a killer they've never seen before and reading though the power description alone can not only be confusing but also misleading as certain parts of a power aren't even mentioned there (e.g. blight being able to destroy pallets with a rush attack).

Two things i feel would help.

    1. Categorization of perks into groups depending on what they do and how easy they are to use (similar to the Killer difficulty text).
    2. Quick video demonstrations in the menu for all perks to showcase their effects when hovering the mouse over one and clicking on a button, extended as well to Killer's powers when hovering the mouse over the power icon for one of them and clicking a button.

I'd suggest a "Welcome Package ". New players start with 1 million blood points to take the initial sting out, enough shards to buy a perk from the shrine and a code for a charm. This could help new players interact with games features.

I agree, but they likely won't because why spend the time and resources on that when they have content creators doing it for them? It's likely the entire thought process behind the Fog Whisperers program.

Content creators are for players who already know dbd, and maybe their friends. People who are just starting the game, on the other hands, do not seek for Youtube contents, especially casual players that are most common.

It would be fun to have bots as killers in customs to get some form of practice against those killers.

it would be fun to go up against your favorite killer too.
