Hooks and Slugging

Why on earth did the devs decide to punish killers for doing their objective regarding hooking survivors?

Survivor dies on hook and hook is gone(apart from basement). Why?

Isn't that the whole point of the game, hooking survivors?

I've had a few games recently where hook Is disabled following a kill and a dead zone is created that survivors constantly run into especially if running boil over. It left me no option but to slug and bleed out which sucks for me and survivors. I don't want to play this way.

It's like killing someone in a shooting game and your gun is disabled because you did what you're supposed to do.

Hooks can be disabled for 30 seconds or permanently if its a Sacrifice. Basement hooks are Eternal.

This isn't punishing Killers, its just being smart about where you sacrifice so a survivor don't get to the hook first or you sacrifice in a location that makes hooking harder later. Maybe the rules could be made easier, if its a big issue for players.

Hooks are a resource you need to manage, that's what makes the basement hooks valuable.

You make a good point, but at the same time they're like that to give the killer another thing to manage.

Next time just make sure to avoid creating a deadzone.

And I must say that your issue is a unique issue, very rarely does that happen. And if it happens, it happens. That's on the survivors. You just played accordingly.
