Dear Plague mains
This is a situation I have often when I play as Plague... Do you prefer when survivors cleanse and give you red puke, or would you PREFER to go against broken survivors all game? I run PWYF on her so oftentimes I ready for M1ing, only to have ppl start cleansing.
Sidenote... Do you ALSO giggle a little when you load into a lobby and see this...
No toolboxes...just 4 medkits that arnt gonna see any use, lol. Cherry on top when the survivors have perks in a similar situation.

Using her power is more fun than just M1 everyone for whole game. I mean it's nice when everybody is injured and easy to track but you are just M1 Killer with easy loopable like anyone else. Her red puke is when the fun really starts haha.

Unless you are running addons that give you access to red puke easily, basic M1 mechanics will come into play for Plague. Survivors probably won’t cleanse unless chases are ending quickly while Broken. Plaything + Penti is one way of encouraging Survivors to cleanse. If Survivors remain broken and the map favors stealth play, it’s an easy down with Plaything active.

I can't aim her blood vomit worth a damn on console so I tend to just go for M1s against Broken survivors.

Cleansing otherwise you may as well just play legion.

What's to aim? Unless the survivor is hugging terrain, you just draw circles in the sky 😅
In seriousness it's a mix for me on console. Once most of the team is infected, if its convenient for me to do so, I'll grab the Vile Purge. The faster wind up add-on is really good for dealing with console short comings at tight loops 😏
... though sometimes I get very frustrated when I respect a pallet, only for my baby toe to get the shadow of the pallet on it and stun me out of my power... been more than one where I'm a country mile away... 😑😑😑

I'd prefer that they cleanse. She's so much more lethal with Corrupt Purge even if she has to hit twice. But I always bring Bamboozle in case I have to commit to M1 chases. Sometimes you get screwed by pool RNG

As a console player, it's better for me if they don't cleanse. But I won't complain if I get to use Corrupt Purge, it can be more fun, it can sometimes be frustrating though, it seems so easy to dodge.

I always want survivors to cleanse.

I've been running PWYF+Nemesis on her for extra speed. Clears out pallets pretty quickly since its basically impossible to loop once you get PWYF stacks, as well as ending chases.

The difference for me is Legion's FF consumes PWYF stacks while Plague's green puke doesn't. Sick survivors are also easier to hear. There's no perks that make them quiet.

She has the best projectile in the game, of course she wants survivors to cleanse. That's why most plagues run builds that punish not cleansing (thanatophobia, plaything/pentimento)

It could be argued that the Plagues running those perks enjoy the benefits of the perks on injured survivors. They don't JUST act as incentive to cleanse, but give a nice benefit to those that don't cleanse. At that point, which do you prefer? Having red puke or having the benefits your perks provide against injured survivors.

I just force them to Suffer either way:
"Rock & Hard Place" Build -
Add-Ons - Really anything is good but Black Incense Really shines for tracking against those who refuse to cleanse.
Dying Light, Thanatophobia, Surge or Hex: Plaything, and for your final perk either Hex: Pentimento, Lethal Pursuer, BBQ, Pop Goes the Weasel or Surveillance (all of which have good synergy with this build, just depends on whether you need more Gen Slowdown, or better tracking)
What this build does:
Survivors who refuse to cleanse add the full effect of Thana on top of DL, making it so that by the time you reach 4 stacks of DL, Survivors have -32% Repair Speed. DL's buff of 33% healing speed is useless against Plague, so she's literally the only killer that can get all the benefits from it without giving any to the survivors. Tactics wise, you want to Fully infect and hook survivors quickly in the early game so that mid game gen progress slows to a crawl, but just because you bring in DL, do not make the mistake of avoiding the Obsession. They are the only person unaffected by DL's Slowdowns, so hook em twice, and if you haven't killed anyone yet, just keep slugging them until you kill at least 1 if not 2 other survivors, breaking the DL+Thana combo potency anyways. Expect at least 2 gens to pop while you're getting your DL stacks, but once it gets past 4, the game slows down immensely.
The build for me is tried and true, but versatile enough that aside from the DL+Thana combo, you can adjust it with the other perks I mentioned to match your playstyle. Overall this build gives survivors the ultimatum:
Don't Cleanse = Suffer incredibly slow gen progress by mid-late game.
Cleanse = Give Plague her (arguably overpowered) Pew Pew.
hence the name I gave the build.
