Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Option for muting hook screams

I’d love an option to mute hook screams when I’m playing killer. When playing killer, it’s nice to have your volume more of the higher side so you can listen for breathing, footsteps, grass rustling, etc…but then when I hook a survivor, I hear a loud annoying high pitch scream in my ear. I’m actually grateful when someone runs Calm Spirit so I don’t have to hear the hook scream.

With all the accessibility options, as of late, it would be nice to have one to mute the hook scream.

I'd like this as well. The screams give me migraines quickly and I end up just not playing. It's a much needed QoL option.

The screams are awful, that’s why I hit the person on hook once.

This is a much needed quality of life change

If you turn on mute focus in the audio settings, you can quickly double tap the windows key to mute the entire scream. You'd just need to time it right.
