About certain Billy add-ons

From my understanding, the cooldown Add-ons also reduce the bump duration. But there are also Add-ons which only reduce the bump duration.

What's the point of the bump Add-ons then? I can use Thompson's Mix + Greased Throttle to have a -20 % on all cooldowns, including bumping.

Or I can use Low Kickback Chains + Steel Toe Boots for a - 25 % on bumping. Those bump Add-ons seem a bit redundant now. The cooldown Add-ons on old old Billy didn't work on bumping for example, that's why the bump Add-ons had their own effect.

I never noticed if they effected bumping? Just the miss and hit cooldown? And ive tried both cooldown addons a good bit and i didnt notice any difference to my bump unless i ran the bump addons.

I currently use him without Add-ons, but at the start I used cooldown Add-ons and the bump seems way longer now than when I used the cooldown Add-ons. Perhaps an oversight.

Also, they need to rework Thermal Casing, Discarded Air Filter, Ragged Engine and High-Speed Idler Screw. Those Add-ons are completely useless.

Yeah i stated this before. If they rework the cooldown addons they need to drawing board the other 4 as well to new effects. Itd give him a better addon set for both sides.

I'm pretty sure that's an oversight.

I also agree that the High Speed Idler Screw, Thermal Casing, Discarded Airfilter and Ragged Engine need a rework. They might as well not exist because they fix issues that aren't there in the first place. No amount of number changes would help with that. They're simply unnecessary.

Yeah introducing my 2 friends to billy i told them the first thing about the addons is to ignore those because you can just tap the saw for a half a second to stall dissipation lol. Thats what ive been doing. The only case i could maybe see is one of them removing dissipation entirely. That might be decent for a yellow maybe.

I thought about that too but I'm not sure, if I'd use it. Maybe if it allowed you to activate Overdrive on command once you have reached full heat. That would be interesting. But this could be a purple addon I think because it adds an extra layer of utility.

I'm half convinced the devs couldn't think of anything better and designed them for that reason alone. But to be fair, designing addons for Hillbilly is surprisingly difficult. His power is rather straight forward and a lot of things wouldn't make sense for him.

Edit: Maybe he could have an addon that hides the blue glow of his chainsaw. It would be pretty useful because it makes him less predictable. Although it could feel a bit cheap to play against.

As someone who loves using double cooldown addons on Billy from time to time I can say that they don't seem to effect bumping recovery at all because, from my understanding, bumping on Billy is considered a "special stun" instead of a cooldown similar to Bubba's tantrum, Wraith getting stunned while cloaked, and the old/decommissioned Lightburn mechanic.

From what I know of is that if a killer has a very long "special stun" duration they'll have addons for that only which was why Wraith used to have Lightburn resistance addons before they got removed after the Lightburn stun time at basekit was lowered.

The fact we lost mother's helpers, leafy smash and pighouse globes for this trash really pisses me off.
