Instead of gamemodes, what about different game objectives?
Doing generators as we all know can get extremely boring and repetitive. Which is why the playerbase has been craving for new gamemodes. The Devs have their reasons for not doing gamemodes. So let's propose this instead. (I'm sure this has been proposed already many many times. This post is just a contribution to the need for something new in regards to objectives, maybe even give the devs the drive to do so. Hopefully it contributes well.)
Similar to how DBD randomly chooses different maps, the game objective will randomly select too. One match will be generators, another will be a different objective entirely. Saves room for the menus.
These game objectives are mainly built on the foundation DBD has had since 2016.
For example (these are extremely rough. not perfect, but can give the devs the drive to do something more creative with them. build onto them basically.)
- Survivors have to collect fuses to power switches, which power the exit gates. The killer can damage these switches. Survivors will need to repair the switches before putting a fuse in.
- Three cars are randomly spawned in the map. Survivors have to collect gas canisters to fuel a car, once fuelled, the car automatically drives and survivors escape. The killer can cause leaks to the car, similar to gen regression.
- Crafting stations are randomly spawned around the map. Survivors will have to craft something to open hatches that spawn around the map, which only opens once to one survivor. Survivors will need to craft their own tool to escape. Survivors will need multiple stations to craft this tool. Killers will be able to damage these stations, making survivors repair them before crafting.
Do you guys have any other ideas?

All of these would be interesting and add new flavor to the standard game. They could even be incorporated into rotation like maps in order to not split the queue.
I personally would love to see some of their proposed gamemodes in the survey they had recently. The 5v5 mode seemed like a ton of fun and would be much easier to balance than a 2v8 mode. I also loved the idea of a gamemode where all survivors tried to stop the killer from hooking 1 survivor or they all lose.
