Whats the consensus of being left on the ground, but being given hatch?
1 thing before anything, I know the dbd forums don't encapsulate all players thoughts on the game, but I just want some opinions.
So I am playing the Billy and near the end of the game (2 players left, 2 gens left) this Claudette hit me with the ######### Best flashbang I have ever seen, it was some around the corner, didn't even hear the flashbang, but it felt fair and it seemed it took some skill.
And as I down Claudette, I see Ace running away so I decided to go for him, cause ya know. I want the kill.
So I took literally less than 2 minutes, hooked, and picked up Claudette and bro didn't want to miss skillchecks, so I carried her for like 1 minute. When he died, Hatch spawned on us, but she had wiggled out by then.
Then in the post game chat she was like "no-one cares about your 4k", "being slugged isn't fun"(which is completely fair), and stuff like that.
So I just wanted to know if I should "reward" good plays, or just get the game over with.

You can't give everyone what they want. Do right by you or what you would want and hope thats what they would want. You can't do much more than that since its all a matter of opinion what everyone would want in that situation. If you think someone deserves the hatch then give someone the hatch. If you think they don't then don't. Its not your problem if they don't like what you gave them if you try to do something nice and they aren't happy.

whatever you’re feeling like I guess. What they said can’t please everyone. IMO if you’ve downed me and I’m not out the gate, I lost. Take your hook. You earned it, whether you played fair or “scummy” doesn’t matter to me. I lost to your strat, even if I’m “good” survivor. Nobody likes being a slug, but honestly do you. I won’t cry about it. You’re not going to be the first or last person to worm me. Next match soonTM either way.

She thought you wanted the 4K because you downed and left her for the last Survivor. Don't hold it against her.
Definitely don't use this match to form an opinion. Too much was going on: Only 2 Survivors left, you left one slugged (not on purpose).
If you decide late in game you want a certain Survivor to have Hatch, don't interact with them near endgame situations.
My advice would be to take out who you want, then go look for the hatch by yourself. If your lucky Survivor finds it first, great! If you find it first, wait by it.
The Survivor will eventually find you there and you can signal for them to escape through it then back away from it.
I did this with a Jill once who got stuck in a lobby of totally brand new players. She was always participating to her fullest capability but her team had no clue how to play.

There won't be any real consensus because people will feel very differently on this depending on the situation.
Just do what you want to do and don't worry about it. If you wanna give hatch to be nice or reward a good player then do it. If you're worried people might be salty then do it anyway. If you're really really bothered by it then just don't do. Don't over think it and just do as you please.
