60% kill rate is unbalanced
50/50 is balanced, anything else is not. 50/50 means half the survivors go up and half go down in MMR until they find the spot where their escape rate is 50%. That's why all other games with MMR aim for a 50% average win rate. 50% kill rate means the killer's MMR (roughly) increases 1/3 of the time, stays the same 1/3 of the time in a draw, and decreases 1/3 of the time in a loss (0 or 1 kill). That's balanced. It's impossible to have a functioning MMR system where one side is designed to have a disadvantage and lose more than 50% of the time.
I've seen some killer mains argue that because killers can draw while survivor's don't, killers should have a higher kill rate to compensate. Any MMR system where draws are possible needs to take that into consideration. With a 50% kill rate killers would win less than survivors (3 or 4k), but they would also lose less often because the middle gap is taken up by draws. The kill rate should not be boosted just so that killers can get a 3 or 4k 50% of the time, because that makes the game miserable for survivors.
The game right now gives killers such an advantage that as survivor you can only escape if the killer is really bad, messing around, afk or lets you escape on purpose. Most of the escapes happen in those cases or as last survivor through hatch.
The game feels too frustrating right now playing as survivor because the odds are stacked against you. However I'm not enjoying playing as killer either because it feels too easy to win. I'm giving myself arbitrary rules like don't proxy camp, don't tunnel, and let the last survivor escape. This is the first game I've ever played where I feel the need to "go easy" on the other side to make it feel more fair, and I think that's a huge design flaw.
To summarize, I think the game would be more enjoyable for both sides if BHVR returned to a kill rate of 50%, or at least 55%, because the game feels too unbalanced right now.

Kill rate =/= win rate. A 60% kill rate averages 2K with the occasional 3K.

It's amazing to me when I play survivor I'll die on hook then the second game the mmr goes "right, you'll be playing against this Blight or Nurse with 7k hours now. Good luck!"
Bro, I just died with under 20k bps, give me a break here 😫😭

To be fair most of the kills i see are people rage quitting or giving up on hook probably be like 20% if people didn't rage an give up so often lol
I know the data doesn't count dcs but the amount of people who give up onhook is insane
that's not taking into account people who hide all game, team with the killer or troll in general
