To apply dollar prices to Turkey
Hello friends, how are you all? I hope you're all doing well and staying healthy. The reason I'm bringing up this topic today is because I've decided to stop playing the Dead by Daylight game that I've enjoyed for years. Behaviour Interactive has set the prices of DLCs and Auric packs in Turkey based on the dollar exchange rate without considering the purchasing power, inflation, or the average income of people. In Turkey, most people work for minimum wage, which amounts to $552. In the United States, the average minimum wage ranges from $2000 to $2400 (depending on the state), and most people earn above the minimum wage. In Germany, the average minimum wage is between €1700 and €1800, and again, most people earn above the minimum wage. So why are we being charged the same prices? Is it fair to demand $50 from someone earning $552 compared to someone earning $2400? (This is purely an example.) We are not responsible for the state of our country's economy. Our daily lives in Turkey are already filled with enough stress and frustration; why should games, which are supposed to be an escape from real-life stress, make our situation even harder? We want regional pricing in our country, not prices set in dollars. Friends, my request to you is to please empathize with us and understand our situation. Please do not exploit the situation by using VPNs to change your region and make purchases with other countries' currencies. I'm only asking for your cooperation. If your currency is strong and your purchasing power is high, please refrain from doing this. I wish I could live in a country where purchasing power is high, we are treated fairly, and we can earn the salaries we deserve. I know that what I've written won't change anything, but if I've managed to inspire a bit of empathy, I would be very happy.
Take good care of yourselves.
Farewell..

That's unfortunate. You'll be glad to know that I don't use a VPN.
I may not be experiencing this problem, but you still have my sympathy and my support in asking BHVR to reverse this decision.

If they don't want your money, just don't buy. Eventually they will notice they are no longer getting money from Turkey and other MENA countries. And hopefully they will reduce prices to reasonable level.

First of all, thank you very much for your comments; indeed, the situation in our country is really bad. In recent times, there's a phrase frequently used in our country: 'Geography is destiny.' I also understand Behaviour Interactive, and I don't really have the right to be angry with them, because like everyone else, they also incur expenses in dollars. They cover server costs, employee salaries, electricity bills, etc., all in dollars, and understandably, they can't do much with a currency that is 31 times less valuable than the dollar. But we are also right, my friends. In many games, prices have been fixed to the dollar either due to the company's greed for more profit or as a result of players using VPNs to connect to our country and making purchases using our currency, which has led to abuse. Just the other day, Steam removed its support for our currency and forced us to pay in dollars. We need to work 12 hours a day to earn $18, and naturally, we're not happy with the jobs because we're not earning fairly, and we're not treated fairly at work. At least, our purchasing power should have been fair when buying in-game content. I'm really tired of playing 'default' in every game. With one day's earnings, you can buy 2,250 Auric Cells plus 500 more, but when there are daily needs to be met, I can't afford to spend this amount on the game. Even if I did, it wouldn't mean much.
I truly loved the game, and I still do. But it hurts my pride to know that while everyone else can buy and enjoy the new content, I can only watch them sadly. That's why I'm not considering returning. I know this issue won't even come to the attention of the company, but at least our dear moderator has moved the topic to another category, and for that, I'm grateful.
