Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Make Scratch marks and survivors easier to find

As a killer player, I've been finding it very difficult (and in some cases downright impossible) to find survivors without having to resort to using location perks (like spies from the shadows), and even then half the time the scratch marks or blood trails are so difficult to spot that I've been sometimes unable to find survivors for entire match lengths. Any way to make the scratch marks and survivors universally easier to spot in game?

Are you playing console or PC?

I might imagine it harder on TV screen, but I don't really have an issue with monitor.

So definetly not default thing, but maybe some settings could be done...

Well you could use one of the colorblind-filters (i think the last one was it, but i think it just helps very slightly).

Another option would be an NVIDIA-filter increasing the contrast between red and everything else.

Other than that I guess you have to get used to, I don't have any problems with it so idk.

I noticed that it's much harder to see scratch marks on lower graphic settings. Not everyone has the hardware to run DBD on higher settings though (and it's also poorly optimised), so it is an issue that should be dealt with.

Make survivors universally easier to find? You mean beyond scratch marks and blood?

  • I think most players who have been playing DBD for more than 5 or 6 years will agree with me, but I feel that scratches are more scattered and uneven than they used to be. This is especially noticeable on indoor maps, where there are footprints on the ceiling for some reason, and paths that branch off, sometimes confusing you.
