Playing solo is literally torture. Now I will list the advantages of solo.
•In at least one of the 5 games I play, I move to the second phase after my first hook and it is hard not to curse the team.
•Even if I loop enough to make the killer 2-3 gens, not even 1 gen is finished. And they never run out of gens. It must be more tempting for them to hide into a closet or crawl in the bushes instead. Nobody in the team makes gens and we die when there are 5 gens left.
•My teammates are people who can take 2 damage in 10 seconds. In fact, in every match, the killer grabs at least one healthy survivor from locker. This is truly disgusting.
•There are also people who call you to the corner of the map to heal you and they want to heal themselves there too. I'm tired of the survivors who call you behind a stone that even the developers have forgotten, have you heal themselves, and then fail every single skill check, attract the killer to us, and hide behind the stone and allows to I die while they're healthy and I'm injured.
•The same goes for teammates who sneak into a closet and let you die when the killer comes, even though you're dead hooked and he hasn't been hooked even once.
•This article does not apply to teammates, but I will say it anyway. You know the anti face-camp mechanics. If the killer is camping and another survivor approaches you, the bar will slow down and stop. To avoid such a situation, other survivors must know that you are being camped (For example, they can add a camp bar under your hook bar on the left hud). This way, no one will approach you while being camped and your bar will not slow down, and teammates taking no more free hits.
•The game gives your team survivors who are not your equals. I have like 700 hours and I ask the team before the match, "Does anyone have RPD?" They say, "What is that?" I don't want to play with someone who is so new to the game (I am someone who can loop for at least 2-3 gens). The guy is playing his first match with me.
•The game portrays my teammates as bad, but it also portrays the killers as bad. Sometimes there are matches where people ask "what is he playing?" but that is not the problem. If a low-level survivor team and a low-level killer playing the same match, the killer has a higher chance of winning. The killer either makes a locker grab on 3 people or hits the person next to him who doesn't see the pallet with 2 hits.
•There is a possibility that they will lead the game to death. To give an example, a person falls to the ground and the killer goes to break a fallen pallet. When he returns 5 seconds later, he finds someone coming to pick up the person on the ground and drops him too. Then the killer hooks the person he knocked down and another person comes and tries to save the person on the hook in front of the killer's eyes and he falls to the ground for hook trade and the killer tunnels the rescued person and makes him fall too. Approximately 4-5 hooks are given, but not even one generator is finished. Get it together from here, if you can.
•Finally, one person falls to the ground and is hooked. There is no problem with this, everyone can be hooked, but at that moment he tries to unhook, hook bar runs to second state and deliberately misses the skill checks in the second stage and dies. Why are you killing yourself the first time you get hooked? In general, the solution to all the problems I have listed is to listen to everyone who knows the game more or less and improve the MMR system after 7.5 years. Not putting a 5-minute man next to a 700-hour man. Not giving the killer too much power compared to other players. If you read to the end, congratulations because I'm incredibly chatty.

I spawned near Ace and he hopped on a gen right away. He immediately got chased off of it and I either had to wait for him to take the killer away or I had to run to the other corner of the map to start working on a different gen. Meanwhile, the other 2 had yet to touch a gen.
What happens when the Ace finally takes the killer away and I hop on the gen he started? Ace kites the killer right back into the ONE person doing gens. Killer got a 4k at 5 gens.
The other two spawned in the same corner as Ace and I. The other two were afraid to work a gen while inside the killer's terror radius, and I don't blame them. Look what happened to me when I tried to.

It all boils down to tunneling ruining the game. Being tunneled out of the match is frustating and miserable.
Getting caught = getting tunneled out after. Don't get caught.
Hopping on gens straight away or working a gen near a chase = caught.
BUT... Avoiding the killer = killer can't find new chase after hook. Returns to hook.
Returning to hook = tunneling or trading. Trading also sucks.
Don't unhook and the killer can't trade. Survivor left on hook until killer chases someone else. No one chased = left to die on first hook.

Playing killer is playing solo.

You'll eventually get survivors who catch on to you. They will not hesistate to work with the killer to get you killed. Trust me.

solo has always been bad it always will be bad but it has a certain charm to it tbh just observing the creatures you run into is pretty fun

You're never going to be able to "fix" bad teammates. Sometimes you'll have good teammates. Sometimes you'll have bad teammates. Sometimes you'll have people who should be good who are just farting around that game, playing meme builds, or just having an off night.
The sooner people accept this, the better your time with Solo Queue will be

In the beginning, mmr is low. That's bad teammate. This means losing matches and mmr. So worse teammates come and eventually you become 0 mmr. No matter how good your build is, if your teammates are much lower than your level, you will neither enjoy the game nor escape.

Just sucks that taking 0 chases or going for 0 unhooks are not against the rules, yet the other survivors are free to break the rules if they feel you aren't carrying enough weight??

‘bad teammates’ I’m not great at the game but I never enter a match with the intention of playing badly. I always try and do gens, will heal others when I can, always unhook when I can and will try to loop (poorly) when chased. I’ve taken the kill to let survivors escape. I’ll take safety hits to bail you out etc.
back to the beginning…. I’m not great at the game but I am learning.
Bad player gets bandied about a lot on the posts and it stings to think this is what I’m seen as.
inexperienced, yes! Poor looper, yes! Not the smartest player, yes! But I don’t think I’m a ‘bad player’

If you're being tunnelled or otherwise injured and on death hook in chase, and you happen to run past your uninjured team mate who hasn't been hooked once, and instead of taking a hit or trying to take aggro they run off in the other direction lol thanks for the help!

Always played solo. I think I SWF'd once, a year or two ago just to try it & I was not surprised to find how easy it was playing with people and using comms to call things out. And then I went right back to solo. Literally 1 play session was all it took for me to realize SWF was not for me.
Yes it can be torturous.. Yes some days are better than others. But I like not knowing anybody on my team. Coming together to win or try our best to win. Its an actual challenge most of the time. And when you get a team that actually plays efficiently, has team and situation awareness, it does feel really good. Those matches where it feels like all 4 teammates are connected to a hivemind and acting almost to the degree of an SWF. Those feel great but they're pretty rare.

This is the same in every team based game.
You cannot fix "bad teammates". That's the chance you always take queuing solo, your team not being on the same page as you and vice versa.
You cannot fix people thinking they're not one of these "bad teammates" and it's simply everyone else. People don't like to see themselves as needing to improve. The randoms and the killer are easy scapegoats. The vast majority of the players you're describing also think the team is the problem not them.
You could improve MMR sure, but the other problems will still be there. As shown in other team based games with better MMR.

You can play with your own escape in mind while being a productive teammate. For instance when Ace led the killer away you shouldn’t have returned to that gen you started with him.
Starting another gen elsewhere would have been a better idea, and keeping a watchful eye on your two non contributing teammates (whom you could have dumped the killer off on later, if you’re a good looper) could have probably helped you strategize a solo escape as well.
You probably don’t want to play this way but if your goal is to play in solo queue you’ve really got to prioritize your own path to escape.

Conversely, why would you want to do it in SWF? SoloQ is a lot of fun. In the first place, I don't care about my own survival rate, I just love using my abilities to dominate the game.

I dont think Solo would be so bad if killers understand that they should have 60% kill rate. Since getting 2K is so easy to achieve.
But most killers play against teams that better than them because of constantly 3-4K equal or weaker teams and gain MMR, which they have to tunnel to have a chance. Then when MMR put them down to equal or weaker teams, they still keep tunneling because they used to it.
And this is the problem for average Solo's game play, the only games that they can have an interactive game and have a chance to win is the whole team playing against weaker killers (which is not possible because you also get weaker teammates), or against equal killers who play fair (extremely rare case), usually only killers who are better, or/and high tiers knowing they would 4K in their grasp would play fair.
Pretty much Solo game is either getting chased to death first, or hold M1 on gens hoping teammate able to run long enough to escape or being the next death one. No time to do totem, chest, or even looking for teammate for healing.

My daily today was repair 3 generators. I looked at the survival roster to see who felt like playing as today. Ended up rerolling the daily instead and I usually power through not to get too rusty. But man, SoloQ right now is just abhorrent.

What I want to say here is not that other people do not play well and that I am a legend. I too sometimes fall to the ground within 20 seconds. I'm not saying that people are playing the game badly and that these people are criminals. Not everyone can play well all the time. But the real problem is the mmr mechanics of the game. I apologize if there is anything in my article that bothered you.

True, the cold, hard fact is that without these shenanigans from solo Q, some killers would never get kills. So, it is necessary or there would be even more tunnel/camp theatrics .

I just run full meta with a double charge med kit... cant rely on my teammates but SB, Adren, Distortion and OTR always got my back.

I'm sorry if I wrote something in my article that bothered you. Someone may not be playing the game well, this is normal, but I think it is not normal for this player to come across someone or a few people who play relatively better. What I mean by "bad teammate" here is teammates trolling the game. I want to give you an example: You enter a match and sit down again. When Gen progresses by 20%, all 3 of your teammates are knocked down, but this is not because the player cannot play the game well, but because they are trolling the game. I hope I didn't write anything in the article that would disturb you.

What I mean by "bad teammate" is not you. You say you repair gens, heal your teammates, unhook others, and loop as much as you can. That's not my definition of "bad teammate". You do what you have to do and you are a good teammate. What I mean by "bad teammate" is the survivors who troll the game and the people who do not do their duties, do not gen even once, do not unhook anyone, do not heal anyone and do not make an effort to do this. I wish I always had teammates who were as dutiful as you.

Underrated comment lmao but I 100% agree with this, the joy of solo queue survivor and the only reason I play it more than SWF is because of the hilarious variations of the teammates I get.
Because there is no voice chat, you just get the fascination of what your teammate is thinking to themselves while itemless self-caring in the corner of the map with Sloppy Butcher inflicted on them as you watch their aura in the same position as ever with Bond for the next 30-60 seconds, and to top it off, all of that happening while you're repairing a generator right next to them. Or the Background Player gamer that desperately tries to flashlight save on every single pickup but fails miserably when they could be holding M1, you just gotta think to yourself: Is this Meg a real human being? Truly an experience.
