Do you think The Unknown will be playable on console?
Ranged killers are very rough to play with a gamepad and some of it can't be compensated for with skill and practice. The Unknown at least has an AoE projectile so precision will be less of an issue but getting ricochet shots and other tricky angles will be harder if not impossible compared to PC players. At least it also has the teleport power which seems solid in its own right, and it is a 115% speed killer, so playing an M1 Unknown should be possible.
I'm questioning if I should buy the new DLC because I don't want another Singularity situation. Controlling the cameras on Singularity's biopods with a gamepad is horrible and makes an already-difficult killer even more janky and teeth-pulling to play as, it's one of the reasons I gave up playing Singularity completely. I don't want to buy another killer just to realize I can barely use their power at all.

I asked this in the ptb feedback and no one really answered me sadly

I’d imagine that he’s going to be one of the easier ranged killers to play on console. The ricochet shots are going to be tricky but the AOE will carry more than likely.

I play on PC but i played on PS4 on my first 4 years in this game ( sadly i needed start everthing again, buttt doesnt matter)
so, the answer is:
YES, u can, definitely. I sure about The Unknown will be more easy to play on console than Deathslinger, Huntress or Trickster, but, maybe u will need ajust your sensitivity ( i think u'll need low number for that). i can say the Unknown should have the same "difficult" on controller like Oni style, so, i think will be easy to adapt. But, obviously, PC always will be more confortable to play with these killers.

By the looks of it, his projectile aiming looks a lot like clown's bottle's arc, so he should definitely be playable, as for the bounces and ricochet's probably more to do with what it actually collides with, i've seen some video's where the projectile just explodes on contact with certain tree's/objects and other video's where there's a very small wall bounce, it shouldn't be too much of an issue as the aoe explosion is quite generous. I also saw some holes and gaps you can shoot the projectile into, so that's also a part of his learning curve, But yeah very playable compared to DeathSlinger, Huntress, Trickster, Singularity which is the main thing.

His power is similar to Clown.
So... If you have no issue to play Clown on console, this killer won't be issue as well. You will be fine.

Killers (imo) should be eligible to be purchased on trial (30 mins) so that players can try them out to see if they're compatible or not. I wasted BP on Blight and Artist without knowing how they felt to play, especially Blight on console.

I agree that killers need some kind of "demo" option for players to try them out. Ideally it would be practice matches against bots.

He should be more usable than most other ranged killers on console thanks to his simple lob and AOE, but how much definitely remains to be seen. Hopefully everyone will be able to enjoy his entrance into the fog at least a little bit, regardless of platforms.
