Doctor nerf

I am writing this after having the most infuriating match against a doctor player, his power is great at shutting down anything that a survivor wants to do. Want to throw a pallet? You can't, want to vault a window? You can't, want to outplay him for the last 5 minutes of the game while the person he slugged finally bleeds out and you are right where hatch is about to spawn? You can't escape because he zapped you a little. Its insane how incredibly easy doctor chases are when you understand timings and I think he needs a nerf to his power to counteract the constant shocking. Add a limit to how many times in a row he can shock. Just a simple cooldown of like not even 5 seconds after shocking over and over and over. There's no downside to your power use, no slowdown, no cooldown, not thinking at all. I think other older killers also need their powers to be re thought out. This may be cope but its just unfun and unfair to play against.

Slugging for the 4k is not a doctor problem and he gets slowed for using his zaps, so there is a downside.

On many loops, the Doctor shocking you is distance enough for an extra loop.
Doctor has 0 answer to Hold W. When in doubt just go forward.
Unless you have a whole build around it, weird skillchecks are a minor inconvenience the moment people start to get good at skillchecks.
While it's true that the Doctor (in the PTB) is able to completely prevent unhooks and as such should be tweaked further, he is currently sitting at the bottom of the killrate list (in part due to bots in certain parts of the world) and is effectively an M1 Killer with no map mobility, in this day and age, especially with the recent ill-thought-out "Anti-3-gen system" (that should only activate during the last gen to truly be what it is advertised to be) Killers with no mobility and no way to end chases quickly struggle greatly.
Slugging for the 4k is a global issue and imo would be simply fixed by making (when there's only 2 people left OR if every Survivor is slugged) Survivors able to get up by themselves OR a "bleed out" button to just make the game end already and not waste 4 minutes of everybody's time.

The prevent unhook thing is probably untrue... If you compare the current values to the ones on PTB it is a difference of 5% so like 0.05 seconds... If he makes unhook impossible on PTB he would do so on live, but apparently nobody noticed in that case?

He can make unhooks impossible on live. But it only works, if you already shocked them shortly before they would start the animation because it seems that once the animation begins it can no longer be interrupted by any means. This is probably why nobody has an issue with it.

Yeah I saw that, but I don't it is a complete overreaction... Like the total change is really minimal, either it is already problematic or it is not all... Depending on how the addons stack it might even be completely the same shock delay reduction...

See I don't know about that... Because if we look at the addons we have like 50% decrease on live and 55% on PTB, if they stack entirely.... But otherwise we have like 30% of 1 second, making it 0.7 and then 20% off of that making it 0.56 seconds on live. On PTB we have 0.8 base, taking off 20% makes it 0.64,taking off another 15% makes it 0.544. If I didn't make a mistake here the difference is reeeeeally low and I don't believe that there is any issue here... Think about it, the show delay difference is 5.6/100 second... I just don't think that this is big enough of a number to even notice.

It only matters if you can shock them before the shock effect has worn off. The shock affects survivors for 2.5 seconds. In that time you can easily shock them again. So they basically never get rid of the shock's effect and therefore cannot unhook.
But it's really not much of an issue because it requires you to shock them before they actually start the unhook animation. Once started, it doesn't matter if you interrupt them. The other survivor will still get off.

doctor's ability to facecamp two survivors was removed long ago. it used to be possible because you could shock 1 survivor and play hook-grab game before but they removed hook grabs for hooks
his video is showcasing two survivors unable to save on the hook which is not true. you can spread out, let doctor shock one of two people and then unhook. one person can start the unhook, he get shocked, 2nd person unhooks.

Which is one of the points why I disagree with the statement that just because of his basekit changes and solely because of then it is supposed to be impossible to unhook now.

Double displicine on live is 0.2 seconds quicker. So if anything it's slightly worse on the ptb compared to live.

I know the video and I explained that you can get the unhook as long as the animation starts before you are shocked. The question was if Doctor was able to prevent unhooks on live, which he can. It's not an issue in my opinion but is a fact. One survivor alone will not get the unhook, if they don't play smart.
Yeah, I don't see why people complain about it now either. This isn't exactly a new development and it wasn't considered problematic before.
Does that matter? The question was, if Doctor could prevent unhooks on live servers. He can. That is the objective truth. I don't see why this turned into an argument. On the PTB he is still able to do that just as well as he can on live. It doesn't make him problematic or overpowered in my opinion because this is a rather rare and simple to counter occurance.
As @Devil_hit11 correctly noted, the worst thing that can happen is that another survivor will have to come. Which is the same results that lots of other killers can achieve too.

You see the game as a 1v1. If his shock doesn't stop interactions like they do know he'll be a Trapper without traps

Yeah you can already stop unhooks in the live game, but you dont see anyone complain about that. Somehow now after the upcoming patch its a problem? You need 2 people
