Currently, hex totems are very abandoned, and something that I think could help them is that if you equip more than one totem you can identify them in the game so you know which one to take care of the most. For example, you equip Haunted Land and Retribution, and you can “guide” the survivors to take Haunted Land from you first, leaving them vulnerable and Retribution showing you their auras. I think it would be a fair change, since usually the totems come out in the most visible places and farthest from you, and you still depend on having the most convenient totem broken first.
