Can Xeno see flame turrett blue beam?

Just wondering, because if they can it seems like it has a major drawback that Xeno can see where you are doing a gen from a distance?

No, the blue beam and ring showing the turret radius is only visible to survivors.

Was it different before? Because I read comments from when Xeno came out and people were saying they didn't drop turret because it made them easier to spot.

No it was never like that.
The only thing they have changed about turrets after Xeno's release is that they made them slightly easier to place in tighter areas.
