Trapper needs a nerf (Copium post)
Now, let me explain:
They need to nerf BASEMENT Trapper, I've a played as and against this play style and if you are playing as a survivor you just let the person die on hook, if not trapper gets a 4k.
I understand that punishing altruism as a killer is something you should do but with this strategy altruism is non existent (also is incredibly nasty and unfun) so my idea is that when there is basement at a 5 meters radius trapper traps get disarmed twice os as fast or they close after a fixed amount of time.
Some may argue that that is all trapper has but I'd much rather see basement trapper nerfed and getting some buffs to compensate than leaving Trapper at his current state.

Basement is dangerous place tho? If you hooked here, there should be some risks. And Trapper is not even the most dangerous one here.
Bubba, Huntress, Trickster, Hag etc also have strong powers here. Why we are asking to nerf for weakest killer?

I feel that basement Trapper is even worse than all of them because he doesn't need to camp basement and even if he does the survivors unhooking themselves will just be met with a trap or 2 M1 while disarming one

No, part of playing as survivor is being aware of your surroundings and avoiding dangerous areas like the basement. It’s not impossible to beat a basement Trapper, though it can be frustrating with bad teammates(not a valid reason to neuter Trapper).

But that is the whole point of the Basement. A dangerous place.
You are not supposed to have an easy time escaping it.
As a survivor it is important to know where the Basement is and try to avoid it. Especially if you're playing against Trapper, Hag or Leatherface.

You know what?, you guys are right
This post is pointless and I wish I hadn't made it (tbh I think I was just coping because I just faced a basement trapper)

Notice playing against Trapper -> find basement location -> always run on opposite side of the map in chase.
Fixed... Just git gud

No, I get it. It can be so frustrating, especially if they’re the type of killer to break chase and run to the basement the second an unhook happens, but it’s really not that bad if people stay calm and make good decisions. In my experience, the worst thing about it is 90% of the time the rescuer or rescued person steps into the trap that’s always placed at the bottom of the stairs. Like, that’s Trapper 101! YALL SHOULD KNOW BETTER!
But yea, the second you realize it’s a Trappi Boi or a Bubbi Boi, immediately take note of where the basement is and avoid it like the Plague.
