Excessively long dc penalty

I play on ps5. The game's servers have always been unreliable and will randomly kick me from time to time. However, a few times now I've gotten stupidly long DC penalties when I get kicked despite the fact that I do not DC normally and this only happens every few days. Much longer than it should take the dc time to decay. Just today I got a 12 hour penalty despite this fact. Not sure what is being done regarding this, but it is infuriating and should be addressed as there is no justifiable reason I should be locked out of a game I've spent plenty of money on over the years because bhvr cannot competently manage a dc penalty or the reliability of their servers.
