Are devs fine with killers winning hundreds of games in a row?

I mean, that is true, but it's also true of Killers like Deathslinger. He's not bad, by any means, but he lacks map pressure in the highest degree.
0 -
I mean sure, but nobody says Slinger would be not higher than C tier ^^
0 -
That's because his power is better than Clown's. His absolutely oppressive chase power gets him into B, but everything else holds him back.
Clown's strong chase gets him to the top of C, but his everything else holds him back.

Out of shear chance alone, players shouldn't get over 100 wins either side.
Somethings wrong. I say sbmm.

See I don't know about that, I haven't fully read that guide yet but I think there are some situation where clown can get a hit and Slinger cannot, they have similar strengths and weaknesses I guess, but I don't think they are too far apart.

Stricter MMR would mitigate this but then Streamers will complain about every match being sweaty. Which FYI, thats how the SBMM was originally.
1 -
Yeah, we used to have way stricter MMR, and streamers complained a lot. And then viewers would watch the streamers get stuck in enormous queue times, and they complained too.
And the killer mains that liked to do long win streaks, couldn’t get long win streaks, and many of them either stopped streaming, or switched to survivor so the viewers wouldn’t see them lose games as killer.
Everyone should be aware large win streaks happen because of the soft cap, that BHVR purposely added to the game. The streamers that are at super high MMR, can be matched to anyone within the soft cap, and the vast majority of the people within the soft cap have way lower MMR than these winstreak streamers.

The devs have the actual statistics. They don't rely on the off 10K hours players going against people with little experience.
Funny thing, on these stats Nurse is one of the worst killers in the game ^_^ (Second worst this time)
You'll also find many players having no issue going against Nurse (myself included). It's only a matter of mind-games and reaction time.
I'm having more trouble against Legion myself.

Depends on how you read the stats. A low kill rate can mean two things. The killer is too weak to get kills or too hard to get kills. Nurse is the later.

Its an Asymm where like 80% of the player base is still INCREDBILY bad somehow when this game isn't that hard to learn.

Is just funny to me how this is always the counter to the argument. I'm not saying that I agree that the game should be balanced towards the top mmr or comp. However every time it's brought up the counter to the argument is always "They are the best and play as optimal as possible" Yet in almost every game now the killer hard tunnels out the first survivor with camping and slugging thrown in when needed. Then when called out on it they say "I'm just playing as optimal as possible" In the end of they day do they even have a fraction of the skill or knowledge that the top mmr have...no. However if every one is gonna mimic top/comp play and strats maybe it's time to start considering it.

Hes not saying killer is easy, hes saying that they shouldnt be able to go on these massive winstreaks
3 -
Massive winstreaks is indicative of a grossly unbalanced game. No other game has such massive winstreaks.

Sounds like a skill issue. Let's see here: map RNG for whatever killer it is (that's the killers worst map for those that don't know), a million second chance perks, second chance add-ons and built in BT with an anti-camp mechanic and gen regress limiter cus entitled survivor mains continue to complain about one thing or another. Sounds like you need to get better at chases and being more gen efficient rather than complaining about killer streaks. Cus, let's be honest, I bet there's someone who is doing a streak of how.many games in a row they can get out

Every match now if you play a killer that you are actually decent at every game is a total sweat fest. EG: i used to play Sadako a ton when Sadako 1.0 was around and i did 1 streak after 2.0 came out (it was boring to play(3.0 is just the worst parts of both but thats for a different thread)) and i finished my streak at 101 wins and literally every game the survs would collectively have at least 10x my hours (i had 500-600ish at the time). I literally could not play Sadako and run a fun build because if i did the gens would be done in quite literally 4-5mins because killer with 0 chase.
Unironically bring back the number rank system, it just filtered people to a level they were supposed to be at and you would mostly have even games and the occasional sweat fest and the occasional easy game.
Take the Old Halo approach, games should have a varying difficulty every game so players don't literally tire whilst running the best build they can conjure to have a remotely evenly matched game.

Hard Disagree, as a killer when you are the Sole determining factor in 50% of the game you should be able to win hundreds of games in a row if you 1 play a character that is not really understood (Sadako 1.0) or play a killer that is just OP (Blight/Nurse) assuming you are one of the best players on that character in the world.

Maybe that's the problem - they are never matched against others who are best in the world.

I've said it before and I'll say it again - DBD is the only game I've ever played where there's a significant number of players who think that winning most of your games means you're bad. it's truly mind bending

they are, unfortunately. survivors are second hand citizens in this game. our fun doesnt matter sim e we’re just killers punchbags
