Perkless Mode

Please implement a Perkless Mode (Not LIGHTS OUT! mode).

A mode where perks will be unavailable. Survivors can bring items/add-ons as well as killers being able to equip add-ons. Offerings allowed as well.

Just a regular Dead By Daylight match that allows survivors and killers to participate in a classic 'Cat n Mouse' type game where it is a race to the finish, similar-ish to Classic DBD (Launch).

I get the idea of perks, but I think people wouldn't be surprised how many players would participate in a Perkless Mode. It would focus more on your raw skills instead of surprise after surprise from perks. Perks are like a parent holding your hand through a match. It's where you wait for the game to tell you what to do and where to go. Nobody likes being told what to do, let alone waiting. Perks are a handicap when you can't rely on the base skills provided by the game itself. In my opinion, Items and add-ons are already a huge advantage to the game, but as for perks, it's just a way for you to tell the game to do the work for you.

If a survivor or killer wants to test their skills, I think Perkless Mode would be a great way to demonstrate it.

I have witnessed more times than I can count where survivors will just disconnect / give up on hook, primarily due to certain perks (2nd place is due to killers, aka Skull Merchant, Legion (Mending Simulator)). On the other hand, I have also witnessed killers disconnect too many times due to perks survivors are using.

If I run full stack perks for killer, getting 4 sacrifices is way too possible, it's probable (No Add-ons, no tunneling, no camping, not even coming back to Hook). It is extremely easy, not to say the survivors are unskilled, but the perks help you SO much that you literally have to stop playing for a minute or two to give them a chance to make generator progress. If I play killer without perks (Which I have been doing for a few months now), it is much more challenging and much more engaging. I want the same for survivor, but if you play survivor without perks, you'll not only be found right away, but you will be either tunneled or camped based on the game constantly telling the killer your whereabouts. I think the community can ultimately agree that a lot of the commonly used perks to date are broken.

A lot of perks need a major re-work overall, which I understand is complex to achieve, but people are disconnecting and becoming toxic mainly because of the level of unplayability that perks provide.

No Perks = Skill (For the most part. I get items/add-ons are an advantage, but nowhere even close to perks).

If you want people to keep playing DBD for how they remember it (As people used to say, "The good old days in DBD"), have this mode available. It will bring a whole new element to the community.

I would be down with a hardcore, DBD mode with no perks, addons, offerings, etc.

Anything to help out with the severe unbalancing of perks honestly. Yes, I would play HC mode RIGHT NOW!

Having a perkless, hardcore mode with no offerings and addons or even items; would give us a interesting results on which killer is "balanced" or lacking, as well as the pace of the game. It could lead to killer or Survivors that need to tunnel/or rush gens; or they play the hook game or farm chest/totems for items/extra bp. It could be a good way to figure out m, which killers or Survivors are struggling in balance without a specific perk/map in play.

That... and also curious to see how really "skill" and good Survivors are really are, without windows of opportunities perk

If lights out mode is not implemented, I would like this. Those who say they are capable will be able to prove their skills in this mode!

Of course, it is also a mode that is easily affected by the killer's abilities, so survivors will be proud of how well they were able to stand up to each killer.
