Why do players get penalized for server failures?

I just got jumped up to an HOUR LONG matchmaking ban penalty (from five minutes on my previous one!) because the Dedicated Server ######### itself. How is that my fault, and why am I penalized for a failure on BHVR's part?

    The same thing happened to me, the dedicated server stopped responding so the game ended itself and I got a 5 minute penalty.

    Please fix, I don't want to get banned for a longer time! 🙏
