The Nightmare

Power: Dream Demon

A tormentor of those who walk between the realms of wakefulness and dreams; The Nightmare is only visible to awake survivors when he is within 28 Meters of them and will disappear and reappear intermittently. 

His Red Stain will disappear intermittently as well. 

Awake Survivors cannot hear The Nightmare's Terror Radius, instead they hear a Lullaby at 32 Meters

The Nightmare can only see Awake Survivors when he is within 40 Meters of them.

The Nightmare can pull survivors into the Dream World, allowing them to see him fully and hear his Terror Radius.

Sleeping Survivors cannot see or hear Awake Survivors, and will lose collision with them. Sleeping Survivors also can't see the Auras of Awake Survivors except for when they are in the Dying State or on a Sacrificial Hook

Awake Survivors can wake up Sleeping Survivors if the Sleeping Survivor is close enough.

Dreaming Survivors cannot see the progress of their actions and cannot interact with Awake Survivors.


Special Skill: Dream Projection 

Sleeping Survivors will conjure phantasmal children within their immediate vicinity; The Nightmare can see their Auras and Teleport to these children when his power is fully charged. If a Survivor is woken up, the child created by their dream will disappear. Phantasmal Children Flee as The Nightmare Draws Near.

Once the Nightmare teleports to a Phantasmal Child, all others currently on the Trial Grounds will disappear for 45 seconds.


Special Trap: Dream Mire

Hold the secondary power button to create a Dream Mire. The longer you hold the charge, the larger the Dream Mire's circumference. Sleeping Survivors must keep moving otherwise the Dream Mire will drag them down, leaving them vulnerable to an attack.

These Ideas are meant to bring a sort of cohesion between both his previous self, current self, and the Movie he originates from. I want him to feel more like a "Dream Demon" instead of Clown 2.0 with a better filter (now that Clown gas is now visually inert).

So, the idea is that The Nightmare's Dream World separates Awake and Asleep Survivors now. They can still interact, it's just much harder unless both are Awake or Asleep.

The "Dream Mire" is a reference to how the Blood Pool Nancy was stuck in was rather large and imposing, as Freddy is known for his dirty tricks, so he'd make a larger area of effect that could potentially cause Survivors that stay still to become literally 'Bogged in the Mire" for a short period of time. I also think it would be funny if Awake Survivors would see this as the Sleeping survivor literally clawing at the air as though drowning.

I dunno if Survivors would still passively fall asleep, but maybe it would take longer, and instead the Devs could bring back the old "Tag" system that Freddy had where he had to manually put Survivors to Sleep.

This is all just a fun lil Thought exercise of ideas. Obviously, the devs have a whole team for this kind of thing, it's just fun to bounce ideas is all.
