New Survivor Concept: Psychic Meteorologist

Just an idea I came up with for a new survivor theme that I’d like to share! With Sable, we now have two witches in the game and a new Invocation type perk, which got me thinking about a survivor who has psychokinesis-like abilities that also allow them to predict/manipulate the weather, earning them a reputation for being one of the best meteorologists on the air.

~Psychic Meteorologist Survivor~

Their 3 signature perks, INVOCATION: EYE OF THE STORM, WEATHER OR NOT, and WINDSHIELD, allow them to deny the killer sound cues on high-priority objectives, create temporary hiding places, and protect allies from harm.

Perk 1: INVOCATION: EYE OF THE STORM - Rather than beseeching unknown entities in the shadows, your unwavering will commands their cooperation in bringing your foresight to fruition.

When in the Basement near the circle, press the Active Ability button to begin the Invocation, which takes 120 seconds to complete.

During an Invocation, your Aura is revealed to all other Survivors and they can join in, accelerating the process by +100%, if they too have an Invocation Perk equipped, or by +50%, if they have not. Once the Invocation is completed, the following effects apply:

  • Permanently Silences the 3 Generators closest to each other throughout the Trial and reveals their Auras to all survivors. Silenced Generators do not emit repair progress or explosion sound cues/notifications, survivors working on a Silenced Generator have their screams suppressed, and Injured survivors working on a Silenced Generator have their grunts of pain reduced by 50/75/100%.
  • You automatically enter the Injured State and suffer from the Broken Status Effect for the remainder of the Trial.

Completing an Invocation disables all Invocation Perks for the remainder of the Trial for all Survivors.

Perk 2: WEATHER OR NOT - Your ability to accurately predict the weather is far more supernatural than just your profession.

Upon successfully hitting a Great Skill Check while working on a Generator, this perk activates. While crouching and motionless, press the Active Ability button to create a zone of Heavy Fog, obscuring vision for survivors and the killer for 30/45/60 seconds. This perk then goes on a 90/75/60 second cooldown.

Perk 3: WINDSHIELD - The invisible forces your mind manipulates can do more than affect the weather, and in a pinch can be used to defend yourself and others—resulting migraine aside.

This perk activates after unhooking another survivor. Upon taking a Protection Hit, you ignore the attack. Instead you Scream while the killer reacts as if they hit a solid environmental object. You then become the Obsession if you weren’t already and are Exhausted for 60/50/40 seconds, and this perk is deactivated until you unhook another survivor. WINDSHIELD cannot be activated once the Exit Gates are powered, but will not be disabled. WINDSHIELD cannot be used while Exhausted.
