Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

The hatch -hard of hearing

Can we talk about the hatch please?

As a deaf player I rely on visual cues in the game and all the other accessibility features work great. But when the hatch spawns and I constantly have people saying you can hear it when you get close - obviously I can’t.

Bill’s perk - Left Behind - is great but using a perk slot for something that everyone else can hear without it feels a bit unfair

Is there a way to add an accessibility feature like an on-screen cue as you get closer to the hatch? I feel it would really help a lot of players out.

Mhh I think you could make a hatch symbol near the middle of the screen that get's brighter or pulsates faster as you come closer, but only if you're near it?

That way it shouldn't be to big of a gamechanger for people able to hear and make it possible for you to find.

You dont have to be deaf to not hear the hatch. If youre in chase with several killers their chasemusic is so damn loud you cant hear anything else.

Making some form of Left Behind, basekit would work for those who are hard of hearing, while not affecting balance much. Killers should also get the proximity aura reading. It would address accessibility issues for both sides.
