PC - Cant walk while crouching

Crouching starts normally. I can move forward (W) if I start crouching while moving. Once I stop moving forward while crouching, I can only move to the sides or back (ASD) but not forward. I can only move forward once I stop crouching. Still I need to repress the W when changing from crouching to standing (I have been stuck due to not remembering and gotten downed due to being "stuck")

I tried playing with another keyboard and I have the same issue. I checked incase I have a shortcut for crtl+w but to my knowledge I don't have such.
I haven't played in a while but I have had this problem while playing yesterday and today. I've tried to work around it by "resetting" (aka stading up and not stopping moving while crouching).

So far I have had this problem every game. At first I thought a perk could be bugged out, but it didnt matter what perks I'm using.

EDIT: Today (the day after two days of bugging, 30/3/24) I haven't had the issue with any of the characters (the og ones, I don't have any dlc's). It's weird, I haven't done anything differently.

    My partner is having the same issue. Tried another keyboard, reset her game settings, verified file integrity, no luck.
