So we have to wait like 3ish weeks for the "No more depip" instead of just getting it now?
It isn't really a new feature. Can't you just activate it now so we can stop worrying about losing pips when we play instead of making us wait until the end of the month for it?

I imagine it requires a patch update, which they do at most once a week, more regularly one or two a month.

Most likely. But then again, there was a Hotfix yesterday…

Updates require packaging, certification and distribution. Unfortunately some things are gonna take a little while because they can't just push out an update whenever. If they miss the window to make a change before certification then they have to wait until the next update.
It sucks but that's just the way things are. It's not really BHVR's fault, it's a logistical thing.

Prolly wasn't ready yet. I think they plan out updates like two months out or so.
