Constantly getting stuck during chase

Every time I am in a chase my character hits invisible collisions but prior to being chased I am not hitting any collisions. This has to be a bug.
Run tightly around a few loops around the map (not just T and L walls), and then do this again whilst being chased, preferably around open maps with crates at some corners.
This occurs almost every game.
