On June 24th, Saint John's Day is celebrated in Brazil (the festivities last a few weeks), it is a religiously based date (just like Christmas), but the focus of the celebrations is typical music, food and fun (just like like Christmas). It's an event with lots of colorful clothes (similar to Kate Denson as a scarecrow), people set up bonfires and there are lots of firecrackers and fireworks. Adriana Imai's hometown has a lot of tradition in São João.

Why not. More events = more goodies. By the way, "San Juan" is also celebrated in many parts of Spain, but we set the huge bonefires up the 23 at night, what we call "La noche de San Juan" (Saint John's night).
