How does the Entity communicate to Killers and Survivors to do its bidding?

I only just thought of this question just now, but how on Earth can the Entity communicate to its Killers and Survivors? And how can they understand what it is trying to tell them? I mean, if you take a look at the killers' universal perk called Whispers, right? Well, that's what I think it is called anyway. However, anytime you are in a certain number of meters away from a survivor, you start to hear the Entity's voice. It sounds like a quiet mumbling, growling sort of noise. Speaking in some kind of ancient language, that us, as players, cannot understand or pronounce. Yet, the Killers and survivors can clearly understand what the Entity is saying and telling them what to do. How?

Does the Entity somehow brainwash killers and survivors to understand and translate its language into words? I'm not sure.

Also, if a Survivor or Killer refuses to participate in the Trials, what does the Entity do to them? And how does the Entity persuade or convince them to participate in the Trials?

So many thoughts… Anyway, let me know what you guys think in the comment section.
