We are investigating an issue in the game that causes strobing/flashing lights, and are focused on fixing it as soon as possible. Some players may be impacted by this issue and experience discomfort from it, so we recommend taking proper precautions.

And until we fix this issue, we recommend that players with photosensitivity, or who have an epileptic condition or have had seizures of any kind consult their physician before playing.

Yes… Everyone hates Skull Merchant. Personally I liked her original kit. They could’ve tweaked that a little, and kept it the same. What I like about her is…

Her power was/is quite interactive. It gave us something mess with. She had a lot of potential yet people play braindead with her. That’s because DBD essentially encourages players to play braindead!

SM was intended to work like The Predator. So why not make her into a more stealth based killer, but interactive through her powers?

SM starts the trial with 5 Drones.

When she places a Drone it immediately begins sweeping with visible detection lines.

If a survivor gets caught in a sweep a claw trap is placed onto them. They will scream, giving away their location. As it attaches onto their skin.

A sweep causes the Drone to spin at 100% rate, and will emit an illusory 32M TR for 10 seconds before returning to normal.

SM is alerted with Killer Instinct whenever a survivor gets swept. SM can now track your every move on her device when clawed.

If the clawed survivor disables the Drone that placed the claw on them they remove their claw, but become exposed for 60 seconds.

Survivors can safely remove their claw trap by disabling another placed Drone, or from being downed by SM.

When SM walks through the sweep her TR, and the sounds she makes gets significantly reduced. This effect lasts for 15 seconds. The spin of the Drone is decreased by 100% for 10 seconds before returning to normal.

SM can activate her secondary power to cause a Drone to hover up. It will enter it’s continuous scan mode for 60 seconds. She can only activate one Drone at a time this way. The Drone has a 30 second cooldown once the 60 second scan has ended.

This causes a much larger ring to appear. Minimum 32M, and possibly more with add ons. When SM enters this large ring she becomes undetectable, and invisible. Survivors can still hear her movements if SM hasn’t reduce her own sounds.

When she steps out of the continuous scan she slowly becomes visible, and her TR is heard again after X seconds.
