PTB 2.5.0 and future communication options?

I've thought about this and want to put before you all a proposal to allow some kind of minimal canned in-game communication phrases that can be assigned to the number keys. Things like what you'd hear in Left for Dead... 'Gen over here/there' (preceded or followed by a wave), 'Loot here' (if you don't want it), 'Killer in Route' (not everyone runs Spine Chill or Premonition), 'Need Diversion', 'First Hook', 'Second Hook', and also things like 'Gen Jockey' (to identify what your perks optimize you for), 'Healer', 'Runner', etc. If you don't want to build a chat box (I wouldn't) you can simply highlight the silhouette of the person who made the comment about loot, gens, and diversion requests in a color you're not already using (blue?). The waving is very confusing and if someone is not a team player, very maddening. Example: I (a rank 15 survivor, so nothing exciting there) was standing at the gate the other night and a teammate directed me with a wave to run towards the killer shack (a good distance away so no silhouette) while the gate was opening (I assumed to help someone) and I got caught and sacrificed while the remainder of the team escaped (team win, yay!), so essentially I was a diversion. I'm fine with that, as long as I know that's what I'm doing because I'm going to play differently in that situation. I'm not a looper/juker/toxic player (I'm usually the first caught/dead), so sending me to my death when I'd actually survived the whole round was really kind of #########.

This would solve two problems, specifically the one similar to what I mentioned above, where being waved at provided me no information about what I was supposed to do and so the team abandoned me when I could have escaped with them and also, it would help alleviate the killer players frustrations about groups of survivors chatting on discord about his every move, which takes away from the fun of the game for him/her because its more difficult to catch survivors. This is especially bad when the first person killed spectates the match and tells everyone every move the killer makes.

If the mapped phrases above are too difficult to implement, then consider adding a 'Yes', 'No' and a 'Shrug' action in addition to the waves so we can at least acknowledge what we've been asked to do and let the waver know if we're going to follow their instructions or not.

Also, the category drop-down in this thread doesn't work. so I wouldn't be surprised if this shows up somewhere random.

None of the characters are meant to talk and I think the devs want it to stay that way, same with the killers.

I believe that as well because talking would make noise the killer may hear. It was just a thought since the waving is worthless and I've witnessed first-hand the killer frustration with a group of survivors who are obviously talking somehow about his location.

One thing though... with the new mode being introduced where there are two killers and eight survivors, the killers MIGHT want to communicate somehow. I don't play a killer so I couldn't recommend any possible phrases.

'Gen Jockey' (to identify what your perks optimize you for), 'Healer', 'Runner'

I mean this coud be implemented in the lobby. Like below your characters name you can choose which one you are (in offline lobby)
Or y'know this can be typed. "I prefer to support you guys"

That's a good idea, adding it under your name in the lobby, that way the team can see whether they have a good mix of skills or not and switch it up if necessary.
