I don’t think it’s fair that pc has lobby chat and egc
Been playing on console since 2017 why hasn’t anything been implemented yet for us to at least message a pc player that sent a friend request or something sucks how you can literally only invite. 🤷

It's because most console players use a controller it takes a long time to type anything of value on the chat and by then they're most likely gone. I do believe you should be able to have the option though and maybe a quick menu for basic responses

I don’t know about the intricacies of cross platform but it may not be in BHVRS hands. It could be that the other platforms are limiting it.

Lol yea, they want it but they don't realize the insanity that comes with it. I understand they don't want to feel left out though even though they're not missing anything of value really besides the entertainment value of watching 2 entitled people arguing with eachother occasionally

you know you can plug a keyboard and type normally just like pc in all games that have chat on console you can do that

Not really if you look at the responses above that I'm talking about making basic answers in chat because of the controller with a type option added , someone called me out thinking I didn't know they could use keyboard but it's just really uncommon on console.

as a console player, we don’t need the chat. I always see players complaining about how toxic dbd is in the postgame chat

I mean honestly on pc I hate egc, I used to like it when I was new but after you hit a certain point it's just used for toxicity. If I play 10 games win or lose in at least 8 of those I'm gonna get some negative comment. Lobby chat would be nice maybe, but then again then adding where we could just see other survivor's perks would be a better use of time.

For every one bad experience I have with EGC (which tbh most of them are funny af) I have like 20 good ones of people who are good sports and who are also very chill. Wish console players would have access to it since it really isnt as bad as people make it out to be, and for those voting for it to be removed from PC, come on man let us have our fun. You have always had the option to turn it off.
