The second iteration of 2v8 is now LIVE - find out more information here: https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/kb/articles/480-2v8-developer-update

Why the game has no advanced tutorials that all new players can benefit from ?

I mean BHVR could make 2 pages of tutorial levels that handle so many issues that are being complained about by newer players. This could raise the low tier pool quite a bit and make new players much more competent , even reduce the negative stigma of the solo q.

  • How to avoid being tunneled with tips and objectives. Give the player perks for this (including premium ones just for this level specifically)
  • How to avoid the killer , tutorial about what makes noise , how to gauge terror radius , how to handle the red stain in the loops
  • How to avoid 3 gen situation , tutorial on how to pick good gens
  • Rescue tutorial, how to rescue safely , when not to rescue , and how to tell when rescue won't be necessary
  • Gen priority , in what situations one should focus on gens rather than on other things etc
  • Status effects and best practices , when to deal with them and how to avoid them
  • When to distract the killer and how to manage hook states with survivors , like get chased if you have no hooks unlike your teammates
  • And much much more

Same for the killer.

  • Pacing , which survivor to focus on at different points in the game, how to apply proper pressure in different situations etc
  • Good perk synergies and how to put them into play
  • Strategies in 3 gen situations , gate struggles , basement and kick a gen vs chase the survivor
  • Observational tutorial on better predicting survivor intentions depending on where they are and which items they have
  • How to recognize survivor perks and how to keep a good track of survivor locations
  • And much much more

I mean why not. Make scripted levels where survivors can learn more before the crunch rather than learn by throwing their teammates into the fire. Also they can add achievements and bloodpoint/shard rewards so they actually get incentivized to do them. No downsides, no excuses, it will only make things better. No room for pessimism here so do not reply with some.

Ever heard of that thing called critical thinking or playstyle? Do you youngsters really want to be handheld 24/7?

Useless reply. If you do not wish to contribute to discussion leave the forums and do something constructive. I have 4 digit hours on this game and I am not a youngster. But unlike you who assumes that all new players are gifted mlg, I do want to improve better inclusion of all who wish to play this game and give them a chance to learn things without a frustration wall that also affects other players negatively. This is not a 24/7 thing as it happens before they even get into the first online match. Read properly , especially the last line in the first post.

A lot of players leave this game early because of this.

I think this is why they have things like the Fog Whisperer program. So people can just turn to content creators to learn the ins and outs. Saves BHVR the time and resources.
