What Ever Happened to Hit Validation?

It's probably been over a year since I've succesfully pallet-stunned a Wesker, Bubba, or Billy while they were using their power, and not for a lack of trying. Worse yet, this feels like a Survivor-exclusive problem. When I play Killer, I hit Survivors through pallets all the time.

Have Killers been given priority on the backend?

Below is a clip demonstrating what I'm frequently encountering. I've been on both sides of this scenario way too many times to count.

Note: I play on a wired connection with pretty standard internet speeds, and the other players I encounter typically have stable ping. The killer in this clip appeared to have a stable connection, based on everything else I witnessed in this trial.

    I've actually seen a lot more cases of hit validation recently. I'm 100% certain they changed something behind the scenes because some hits, that look like they should definitely connect on the killer's screen are validated too. I've even seen it with Huntress' hatchets. Sometimes you hit a survivor with a hatchet and hear and see the hatchet connect but the hit is validated.

    Grabs have also been really wonky. I go out of my not to grab anyone now because I just get validated anyway.

    Your clip looks like the server registered the hit so close after the pallet drop that it still went through. You can still be hit very early into the pallet drop animation (because pallets aren't walls and before you stun the killer, you're still vulnerable) and now both happened. With the current server problems, I reckon this probably happens a bit more frequently than normal.

    Welcome to Dead By Daylight! Is it your first day playing this game? We have tons of bugs, which one do you want to order today?

    Just get used to it, so you won't be angry. The devs can not make me more disappointed now.

    As for smacking Bubba while in tantrum, that takes pretty precise timing with a pallet, which of course is at the mercy of ping, latency, and the whims of the games coding.

    It's been years since I smacked a Billy, and I don't believe I've ever hit a Wesker in power tbh.

    Aside from the recent server issues that are pretty terrible, I've still had plenty success pallet stunning Bubba and Billy in their powers. It is tricky but I don't think it is not doable or nerfed at all. Wesker however, I think due to his power has some weird issue where he can grab you and ignore pallet validation completely. The idea that he can grab you from the other side of the pallet after you drop it is just awful. At the very least if this happens let the server flip the pallet back up after a second.
