Anti-Facecamping mechanic not working as intended
Hi yall!
So I played a game of dbd and in this game I got tunneled out, and at the same time camped at hook with them being no more than 10 meters away. So the problem here is this: The anti face camping mechanic didn't fill up all the way, even though he camped me the entire time I was on hook. Can I get an explanation onto why this never seems to work as intended?
P.S. I also don't think it should matter if there are survivors are around the hook (which they weren't in this scenario) whenever the killer is camping
P.P.S. A good change would to have the bar fill up faster the longer the killer is in the camping zone and shouldn't matter on distance (closer they are, the faster it fills up) and should be based off longevity

The anti face camping mechanic is perfectly ok.
It’s meant to only prevent the killer from standing right in front of the hook.
Not proximity based

Are they in your face? If not they are not face camping it's working as intended

Because even if survivors intend for the system to force the killer to get to the other side of the map so they can have a guaranteed unhook, it was never intended to prevent the killer from defending the hook. It is to prevent Face Camping and grant the survivors the chance to at least do a trade.
In other words, it is working as intended.

It should matter, as the first thing survivors did in the PTB when it didn't was abuse this to get free saves.

In any case, it should be both (as if not, the killer would be able to simply get out of the area from time to time and step back in so the bar doesn't fill up), as long as it still allows the killer to defend the hook.

even 8 meter is long enough to not be considered as face camping, as long as it prevents literal FACE camping it's fine

Yeah sorry, I didn't really describe the problem all that well (also just ranted because of how peeved I was). Ok here we go again:
I think the problem with the face camp mechanic is that it just doesn't work as intended. And also sorry I'm American so when I say 10 meters it was probably more like 10 feet away from me. The meter got up to around 75% with the killer (a Ghostface in this scenario) camping my hook before I died on second. I think it should be distance (at most like 15 meters) to where it has a flat rate constantly and should speed up the longer the killer is both in this zone rather than how close they are to hook. It could also include a grace period of like 3 seconds where if he tried to leave the zone but come back to reset the speed up progress, the progress would still increase as normal until they stay away for long enough and then reset to the base speed whenever they would come back.
(also to specify the hook, I was on Coldwind farm inside the silo, and he was 5 feet away from the corner on where the breakable wall and window was, and he was facing me the entire time)0
