How do you counter DS + Plot Twist??
I just met this combo today, and I can’t say I’m feeling good for this.
This girl was using DS aggresively, and decide to follow me around when I chase other guy. Unfortunately I downed a survivor under pallet, and I saw her lurking around. When I get close, she just use Plot Twist.
Erm.. so what am I supposed to do here? Wait for 60 seconds?

You could just go back and pick up the guy under pallet because she can’t recover fast enough for the save. As for countering that combo just don’t pick them up and find someone else. I main Huntress though so I just pick them up and eat the sun and immediately down them anyways. I will always tunnel out survivors who use DS aggressively too. It’s literally a guilt free license to tunnel lol.

Pick the other guy up and hook him while she lays useless to her team. Then just eat the DS and continue chasing her because you're better off getting her while she's injured than letting her fully recover with PT

that's barely a counter. I am wasting time vs decisive strike survivor while the survivor is acquiring generator progression. The second chance meta for survivor is borderline oppressive due to this decisive strike change.

It’s barely a counter yeah but it’s the only counter. Sooo… I guess a better solution is play pyramid head since he doesn’t have to worry about DS or Nurse maybe? Idk tbh. Knight works wonders cause you can do a gaurd before you pick up and the gaurd will insta down-them if they DS off

This is the answer.
It takes no perks or add-ons, and you've already identified the survivor's perks and plan here. Not to mention it's giving the killer free pressure having one survivor off gens for you for no discernable gain.
The amount of time this survivor wasted recovering, let alone following you around for 60 seconds could've been better spent on an entire gen. Not to mention this survivor dedicated literally half their build to this combo, and all you have to do is go hook the other guy and it makes their effort completely meaningless.

Okay.. I'll be doing that the next time I see this.
But honestly the amount of DS being used aggressively is really unbelievable since this patch :(

Then the slowdown-meta and this one have something in common.
Who wins in DBD right now is mostly up to who brings the stronger stuff. Its sad to see.

not about bring stronger stuff, it is about not having any counter-play towards the perk. you have to play less efficiently as killer or get punished by 4th hook-states. Playing a strong killer is legit only counter-play towards decisive strike because your factoring in the 4th chase as a given. With other killer where their chase is terrible, it is a lose/lose.

Eat the DS and tunnel them out from there. Don't overthink it. You have someone not doing gens following you around. You aren't losing as much time as you think.

Free DS = Free tunnel. Their life is forfeit.
That's the sad part about DS. That it becomes a "tunnel more" perk when a killer doesn't want to tunnel. It's far from ideal but it's the only counter to the aggressive use of DS.

Hook the other survivor and then eat the ds, then tunnel that survivor as you know they dont have ds anymore. Not really a counter as you have to eat the ds but you will be more effective compared to letring them get plot twist.

when you pick up the survivor put your mouse dpi to max and spin your camera around and attack the air. this can throw survivors off on the DS skill check

The general counter to aggressive DS is slug them out and continue pressuring others, or if you are a high tier killer eat the DS and tunnel.
If this girl used plot twist, she is doing the slugging part for you. Now you can leave her alone and pressure elsewhere. If she wants to get healthy and take a hit, cool, she spent longer on the ground to heal than she would if she simply used a medkit. And now you know half her build that means she has less room for an exhaustion perk, OTR, reassurance, adrenaline, etc etc.
