As killer with low MMR why do I keep getting this ridiculous swf teams and bully squads?

Seriously is just one unwinnable match after another, nothing but teams of experience survivors doing flashlight and flashbang saves, sabos, body blocking, gen rushing, head on plays. I just absurd, there is nothing a new killer can do with a team like that, and is just match after match, is so stupid. Does MMR even exist anymore? Cause if it does is completely useless.

MMR has never existed and I've seen no evidence to convince me otherwise. And even if it does, the Devs nullify it because if a player or group waits to long, the bracket they are in loosens so to speak until they can find someone a match. That means if a Killer lobby dodges, the game goes into oanic mode and starts to draw in other Killers so Survivors don't have to wait to long, or of a lobby is struggling to fill up they just pull in Survivors to fill it.

The Devs want the lobbies of a competitive game but still treat this as a casual game, and players suffer for it.

Damn, this is so true. I have been running into so many bully SWF's when playing killer, it's borderline ridiculous.
Truth be told, it was never this bad with the old matchmaking system.

Granted, I have played a lot of killer throughout the years, and I can with certainty say that the problem got exponentially worse after the SBMM update. Also on the survivor side, whenever I queue for a solo game, I often end up getting quitters or lesser skilled players, as if the game expects me to hard-carry the match by myself, which is not possible (unless you are some god-tier survivor player like Ayrun or Hens, who can run the killer for 5 gens). I often end up against a killer who is a god-tier one-trick, who knows every little quirk inside out. - That is my matchmaking experience with SBMM. It was never this bad with the old ranks.

Bully squads can "derank" easily by throwing a few games in a row. Since only escapes and deaths matter for survivor mmr, there are a number of ways how they can go to the rock bottom of mmr within a few hours.

MMR in this game leaves much to be desired

It's not as simple as that it takes an insane amount of games to get below the mmr softcap once you reach it. Unless they want to throw 100's of games to bully killers for a few there is no point. This is pretending mmr even really matters in modern dbd.

Hundreds of games is an overestimation if you compare the numbers, and they can spread the "grind", like throwing soloQ games separately, when they can't get together, and then go noobstomping when they gather in discord. I'm sure that's how most of survivor mains with SWF friends play like, some maybe even unintentionally: people who play in "bully squads" have a similar mindset to those who sandbag and throw in soloQ.

Thats true .for example 1300 win you got 1590 next you win again got 1620. And when you loss 1460.

My mmr for example in the old mmr was around 1500 and Sometimes the Game Matched me with 2450 mmr or 2100. Which was really too high for my hust Skillcap. Mmr was the biggest mistake ever.

A killer player who just bought a new PS5 and created a PSN account, and when he goes to his first match, the god management matches him up with an opponent who has 4 perks and all have items. pretty good job so far.

I feel like I ran into more bully squads when I was new to the game, so there might be something to the idea that there are survivor groups out there keeping their MMR low.

Even if you run the killer for 5 gens worth of time. The other survivors were diddling theirs, and making popcorn.

MMR made this game absolute misery.

Because MMR doesn't exist and RNG feels like making you suffer, that's why

I doubt these are real bully squads from your description. I'd like to see a match to be sure about it.

Regarding the topic of mmr. Dbd is incredibly unfriendly to newer players. This goes for both sides and is not limited to the grind alone. The sad reality. It's only gonna get better if you improve.

Think of games like Elden ring. You lose a lot before you eventually win. Yes, the losses feel awful. But the more sweet the victory will be.

Until then, ask for help. There are a ton of dedicated people here that are willing to help you out with their thousands of hours of experience.

    Keep it up!

They derank just by doing what they normally do. Bully the killer until they eventually win. When nobody does gens, the killer cannot lose. This is also in their best interest. Because if you do this on a regular basis but keep winning games, then chances are you are more likely to encounter a killer that can deal with it, which means you lose without actually ruining the game for them.
