Dynamic Environments
I've been playing the game for over 4 years now and as much as the game has improved, there's still one main aspect of it that remains unchanged and that is the gameplay dynamic. Sure, we can add specific sets of add-ons and perks but there is only so much you can do to keep the game fresh with these small game mechanics.
The game has remained pretty straight-forward these past years, sure we can spice things up with new killers and abilities , or even good looking maps but if there's one thing that's yet to change is game progression.
We could take the concept of the Entity growing inpatient with every gen being completed and having the map fall apart as the Entity destroys it little by little. I have a rough idea of something that might change things up a little bit and add more strategy to the game, possibly even creating a whole new gameplay style with addons and perks based on the map changing throughout the trial.
Dynamic Environments:
Certain maps would have environmental elements that change or evolve as the match progresses. These could include shifting layouts, collapsing structures, or weather effects.
For example, in a forest map, heavy rain could start pouring down, reducing visibility and making it harder for survivors to hide and for killers to track them.
Another example could be a collapsing building in an urban map. As the match progresses, certain sections of the building could become unstable and collapse, creating new obstacles or escape routes. Around halfway through the match, heavy rain begins to fall, accompanied by strong winds. The rain creates puddles on the ground, making it harder for survivors to move quietly and easier for the killer to track their footsteps. The wind howls through the trees, distorting sound cues and making it challenging for survivors to pinpoint the killer's location.
Add-Ons: With the dynamic environment we could expand the idea of add-ons related to the map changing. For example we could have one that makes heavy weather start at the beginning of the match, towards the end or after certain criteria are met.
Impact on Gameplay:
This feature would add an extra layer of unpredictability to matches, forcing both survivors and killers to adapt their strategies on the fly.
Suvivors would need to constantly assess their surroundings and adjust their plans accordingly, while killers would need to take advantage of changing conditions to outsmart their prey.It would also add an element of urgency to the gameplay, as players would need to react quickly to sudden environmental changes or risk being caught off guard.
Overall, dynamic environments would enhance the replayability and excitement of Dead by Daylight matches, keeping players on their toes and ensuring that no two games are ever the same.

They did experiment with this alittle with the Nostromo map (the steam trap) and the Game (gens powered = new paths). Would definitely like to see something more dramatic though.
