New Survivor Perk Suggestion

A perk for mechanic, engineer, or tinkerer type survivor that has a perk that can hide generators from killer for a few seconds, and not see the explosion location. They will however still get an auditory alert. They can here it but not see it. When a survivor with this perk starts working on a generator, he/she causes the generator to be obscured from the aura reading of the killer. The perk could be called Off Grid.

So far there are no counters to the killer's inherent ability to see all the generators in the match. We have Boil Over to obscure hooks while being carried.

If I had it my way the survivor would be able to first set up a decoy of some type and make it look like the generator is somewhere else, and then obscure the generator they are working on, but I sense an OP claim looming, so I'll refrain. Anyway, that's my idea for a new perk. What do you think?

there is already a counter to the killer's aura seeing ability (which includes gen auras), it's called residual manifest from haddie

Hmmm... issue you might have here is if the killer sees the gen vanish, they know exactly where you are. It also gives you away on 3 gens at the end, where if the gen is gone, the killer knows which one of the 3 you're on... Soooo I get the feeling it wouldn't be a popular perk cause it can just as easily rat you out, as help you.

I like the idea, though the perk may actually be a detriment against attentive killers. They'll notice they can no longer see the aura of an incomplete generator, and realize someone's there.

It could also be a means of distracting the killer. While another player goes somewhere else to do a generator.
